My lunch today. No, I did not finish it all in one sitting. These pork chops were lovely thick cut ones. Those are bourbon mushrooms sitting on top of them. In the back it is spinach, and "se gua" , a kind of mild chinese melon.

Our first taste of our own farm-raised pork. Verdict: yum! Method: Cider-braised. Served with mashed sweet potatoes and roasted green beans.
One of my favorite mounts from the Game and Fish headquarters. I know there's probably a legislative joke that I could make about this fearsome looking swine, but right now it escapes me. I picked up a new 2007-2008 fishing license and talked to my old colleagues during my lunch hour. They've done an awesome job in recent months converting some of the old on-line e-commerce applications from Oracle to the LAMP stack. (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
Christmas dinner. We were originally going to have hot pot, but that changed. I whipped this up last minute-- I needed a recipe for pork chops that didn't use Cream of Mushroom Soup, and... found this: allrecipes.com/Recipe/Italian-Style-Pork-Chops/Detail.aspx
The result is quite good, and tastes almost exactly like the stuff we had at an Italian restaurant.
Cam helped crumble the crackers. :9
The carrots were steamed and came out just right.
