My poor pear tree is really suffering because of the water restrictions.
It has however, grown huge pears, but I am leaving them for the birds and the possums.
I liked how the light curved on the pear.

Not even 72 hours old, the poor kid had an Oral gastric tube and nasal canula placed. I'd have an annoyed look like that, too. Actually, Richel says I always look like that.
One of the hikers in my sisters group was sick, so they hired a sherpa for $8/day to carry her stuff. On day 2, they decided to take advantage of his mountain climbing skills and loaded his pack to the brim... he smiled the whole way though!
Poor Aeryn, she had an allergic reaction to her pain medication and broke out in a horrible body rash. Poor thing can't catch a break.

We heard a loud thump this morning and when I searched around outside, I found a juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk lying on the roof. We often have song birds fly into the windows, and sometimes they will lie still for a long while, but eventually come to and fly away. I let the hawk lie, and though he slid down the roof a little, he did not fly away. Eventually I retrieved him from the roof and after a couple of photos (the others are somewhat macabre) buried the poor fellow in our pet cemetery.
