Some ne'er-do-well duct taped a purple Tweety doll to a telephone pole in ATX. This is in the Duval area. I saw it as I passed by while riding a local bus.

Is it a queen bee? I put it under a tree stump hoping it would dry out.

I came home last night to find my beautiful Savannah with a huge sore on her neck. It was so sad but I decided to wait to take her to the vet this morning as she seemed to be feeling okay.

Well this is my pretty baby at the vet's office. Apparently the only place she felt safe was the sink!

She is fine now. I guess she got in a rumble with her sister (most likely started by Savannah) and Samantha took a big old chunk out of her neck. Poor little cone baby!

I would hope to think that Savannah learned her lesson after all of this but I doubt it!

A long crop of the Thames Barrier with Canary Wharf beyond. Taken from the Thames Rib Experience boat trip.

At some point she's given herself a punch to the face or something, and has rubbed under her eye a little and taken a few chips to the cheek. Poor thing. But she's so tiny and perfect and cute... and we've all messed up out makeup at one time or another, haven't we ladies?

This little fellow crashed into our window yesterday. His wings were ok but he was moving when I took the photo. We tried to save him but sadly he passed away from shock. I took the photo when we thought he seemed a bit brighter but not to be :( Hes buried in the garden now.

Even though I think most people who head up Potato Butte come from the west, from the Red Lake side, there is no sign for hikers coming from that direction. Instead, there is just this sign that only hikers coming from the east would see. I don't think this area gets much attention from trail crews.

Used to be a nice mural. Now just sorta sad.

They cut the poor big tree down to stop people gathering and gambling there... well, that's one way of prevention...

Imported beer, even not the best - and at that price...

Jamie and I went to a "Maintenance Day" in Rockport, where members of the VentureRider.org group congregated to work on each other's bikes. It was host by Thom, pictured here.

Thom was an amiable host. Unfortunately, good natured shit flew back and forth between Thom (who rides a First Generation Yamaha Venture) and others (who ride Second Generation Yamaha Ventures). The end result is that someone (not me!) squirted a bit of oil under Thom's bike. It fell to me, who was innocent and unsuspected, to alert Thom that his bike was leaking.

"Your bike is marking it's spot like a Harley," someone snickered.

Thom sorta ruined the amusement by saying he knew it had a small leak. Huh, not funny then.

But later, he crawled under his bike to see the cause the much larger than expected leak.

I almost feel sorry for him. My bike is a sister to the Second Gens.

Vintage Sindy doll from second hand. She is in bad condition but I'm gonna do my best to make her shine again!

Can anyone advice the direct IP of farm8 and farm9 ?

I was out photographing birds this morning and this fellow happened along across a stream that feeds the CT River in Wethersfield, CT. I watched and waited for him to fall through the ice - there was open water 20 feet to his left. I had my cell phone and I was prepared to call the fire department for a rescue. Thankfully, he made it across and was coming toward me. He was all alone - there were no people anywhere around. When he got closer I called him thinking he'd be glad to come to me. He turned tail and headed right back across the river. Again he made it and he only looked back a few times. I called the Animal Control people in Wethersfield and offered to help catch him but I haven't heard back from them yet.

My dumb dog Bo treed this cute bear cub while we where staying in a campground in Kititmat. His eyes were so innocent and afraid. I feel sorry for all the wildlife that must make their way in "man's world".
