I came across this sad picture and felt it was worth passing on.
This poor guy was stuck on the foul pole (at least for like 1.5 hours) at yankees stadium! It peed like 4 times... everytime it peed. some would yell "The Squirrel just peed!" Finally he got enough courage to come down.
I wanted to make my friend a birthday cake but could not think what to put on it, answer solved when she fell off a platform while helping her husband cut a hedge and badly damage her knee.
He had an operation yesterday. His backteeth were covered in plaque and his gums were swollen. Apparently it is something which happens to older cats, but Wammes is only 2,5 years old.
Also one of his fangs had to be pulled because it was broken off.
This is how he looked yesterday evening, poor boy. Today he is feeling a lot better, but giving him the antibiotics he needs is a true crime!

Learning to love my new knee...and my walker, cane, pain pills, ice wrap machine, and visiting PT. My sister sent another cartoon to cheer me up.

I will skip the deets, other than to say that other than in infancy, my 2 big kids have thrown up exactly three times, between the two of them, in 14 years.
Well, that count is up to four now.
And, OMG. Gross.
I have a new respect for parents of pukers and carsick kids.
And I am now instituting a 2 stuffed animal limit in the bed. Cuz I have stripped and am washing 8 build-a-bears and assorted bear sized tutus, sweaters, pompoms and slippers. My Saturday night is rocking:)).
Not so sure about the rest of the hockey tournament tomorrow...fingers crossed for a big recovery.
Cinder slide in the grass the other day while going for the ball. She pulled her leg muscle and cut her nose. She felt very bad for herself. Poor Cinder.
poor lucy had a bit of a rough day... after she ate something cats aren't supposed to eat (human medication), we made an emergency trip to the vet. she's doing fine now :) just a little reluctant to come out from under the bed!
Another heartbreaking case of kitten abuse :( : somebody put glue on her body. Fingers crossed she will survive and then she will need a safe home out of this neighborhood, if you know anyone who could adopt her - she is free :) A big shout out of gratitude to Sheila Kegel and Nancy Allan for coming to our rescue and picking up her vet bill xx -
Mulligan was surrendered to the shelter in this condition. The shelter called Legacy Boxer Rescue, and we were on the way to pick him up. He saw the vet who thinks he has no health issues except for fleas and needing some groceries (and he is heartworm positive, of course). Very sad, but there will be a happy ending if Mulligan is able to recover. www.savetheboxers.com
