This poor old scraggly tree has seen better days for sure. Although with it's funky shape and lines, it makes the photo.. otherwise it would be boring. :)
As you can tell we got snow today, is one of those necessary evils. I don't like it but we certainly need it for the farmers this summer... so... it's ok :)
#3 BLEACHING
This is the first time i'm doing this on a #3 (I had done it on #4s with success) . I knew many restorers think it isn't good to try chemicals on a #3 but the owner agreed she didn't like the doll like this. She had darkened a lot, this was caused by smoke (either cigarette or a fire place). I wasn't sure of the results at all (actually I thought I would just improve a bit her condition, and both the owner and I were aware the bleaching process may ruin the doll ...). Finally she turned out pretty good, her face and body are not completely even but she looks like a #3 again. Original paint was damaged during the bleaching process but a lot of it remained.
Poor little Dusty has a bad wheezing cough. I took him to the vet on Friday and they weren't sure what's wrong. It might be feline asthma. He is on antibiotics for now, and fortunately, he does seem to be improving. At least his cough isn't so incessant. He still has an appetite and an interest in things, which is a good sign, and doesn't have any fever.
i found this taking a shotcut home accross a field in salford , were they have pulled down a school a few years back.
it was made of resin but looked the part.

Believe it or not, this little snake was dead. My brother and I found it during one of our walks in the mountains. It wasn't visibly injured. Probably it died shortly before we got there, but we don't know the reason :( We felt sorry about it, but as you can see it was a very beautiful snake, so here it is.
Did I mention you can buy your poultry fresh here? Like, really really fresh. This poor turkey knows it's food. Awww.
I thought while I was at it I would boggle Gemma.. LM was MUCH easier than Picca.
but what was weird is once I got Picca's head open there werent any posts in her head like with most EBL.. There isnt a place where they were broken off but they just werent there at all.. it was weird!

“You bastard!” cried out the Jersey Shore Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ring. “You killed Mr. Lamppost!”
As the Aggie Ring and I were driving into the parking lot where our mailbox is at the UPS Store, a very large commercial truck (18 wheeler) ran right into this poor lamppost who was just standing there doing his job.
We’re still trying to figure out how that happened. It’s a parking lot for gosh sakes, not a racetrack. There were no cars nearby and nothing but open space around Mr. Lamppost. The police were called. We suspect that the driver was either drunk, on drugs, using his cell phone to text, or a combination of several of those options.
“How do you run a large commercial vehicle into a lamppost in the middle of an open parking lot?” asked Aggie Ring.
The wake and viewing for Mr. Lamppost will be at the Bongerzone Funeral Parlor in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dress is casual and it’s BYOB.
“I’m going to miss that lamppost.” sadly said Aggie Ring.
Came across a Lagoona at a local store that had been vandalized. Someone stole all her clothes with the exception of her shorts and shoes. They even took her jewelry and purse!
And her poor hair was sooo messy.
But they at least put a different shirt on her, preserving a bit of modesty/dignity?
Chloe is having emergency hernia repair -- and possible intestinal resection -- while I type this. Her hernia repair was originally scheduled for May 30th, but she started vomiting yesterday. Originally, we thought it was her pancreatitis acting up, but when she wasn't feeling better today and when the site of her hernia was solid to the touch, we knew we had to take her in to the emergency clinic. Poor baby. :o(
Edit (12:24 a.m.): Chloe is coming out of her anesthesia now, per a call from the clinic. They had to resect 2 inches of intestines. She may be able to come home Sunday morning.

My hero Mika Hakkinen at the pre-British GP test at Silverstone in 1998. He's such a lovely but shy bloke and was quite overwhelmed by the extra interest in him as he took control of the world championship. I used to go testing every year with the McLaren team until I became ill, and had some great times!
I finally found my disc with all my motor racing pics on them, so I thought I’d add some to the Big Picture to help break this world record.
I bought a Flektogon in "very good condition". Inside I found this dull lens.
It's a group of two cemented lenses and the damage seems to be between them.
Anyway I cound not clean it.
So I made an "aperture" that covers the damaged area of the lens.
The modification costs about half an f-stop brightness and sometimes a bit
strange bokeh. Apart from that the image quality is entirely satisfying.

The old bank's days are numbered, they want to tear it down to "widen the road"
Here it was two years ago
Poor old bank, I remember when you had a roof.
This makes me laugh... does that make me a bad person? Also, I wonder what the kid saw that he wants to un-see (taken at the Museum of Man in Balboa Park, San Diego).
What a torture! Poor kitty had to go to the vet yesterday. Radiograph for her odontopathy.
Radiograph at cats - only with anesthesia. But - we have luck. No drawn tooth.
After the anesthesia she was so dead beat. She found consolation in the arms of her
beloved Achim.
Jack was killed last night due to the lack of love from his owner who refused to pay his ransom. Bitties everywhere are in a panic and do not feel safe. More information tonight on the ten o' clock news.
the poor donkeys that are forced to carry people up and down the 500 odd stairs to the old port in santorini! (i walked it!)
I never liked kissing. I bought her for her dress. But I have soft heart for dolls, so I started working on her. She had a hole in her lips, I fixed it, washed the doll, made her hair, repainted lips and... I still hate her :( What else could I do? Better repaint? Lighter lips? Another hairstyle? I have no idea. Help?
Strangest lunch date ever. Ended up in a lab room with guinea pigs, cute ones like this guy, and fed him Cheerios. Under that lab coat, hair net, gloves and extra layers of protection I was professionally-dressed in my uncomfortable heels and black dress--but I covered it all up for a good reason. See, Mr. Guinea Pig is cute, and got spunk and takes awesome photos. Unfortunately for him he lives in a lab that does tuberculosis. I was whispering to him that I hoped he was in the "control" group and that if he didn't give me TB I would give him more Cheerios.
