At 5 bucks a piece or less, these hens are waiting for their scrum master. Not quite an agile life.

Not the Dutch celebrity that was spooked by this Blythe and put the picture on Twitter of course.

Just look at the poor Ashton Drake Aztec, she's passing out :o :D

Cracked screen, covered with packing tape until the replacement screen arrives, so I can still play Tap Zoo and take care of my lions without getting glass shards in my fingers! :)

“You bastard!” cried out the Jersey Shore Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ring. “You killed Mr. Lamppost!”

As the Aggie Ring and I were driving into the parking lot where our mailbox is at the UPS Store, a very large commercial truck (18 wheeler) ran right into this poor lamppost who was just standing there doing his job.

We’re still trying to figure out how that happened. It’s a parking lot for gosh sakes, not a racetrack. There were no cars nearby and nothing but open space around Mr. Lamppost. The police were called. We suspect that the driver was either drunk, on drugs, using his cell phone to text, or a combination of several of those options.

“How do you run a large commercial vehicle into a lamppost in the middle of an open parking lot?” asked Aggie Ring.

The wake and viewing for Mr. Lamppost will be at the Bongerzone Funeral Parlor in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dress is casual and it’s BYOB.

“I’m going to miss that lamppost.” sadly said Aggie Ring.

This house in Wellsburg was apparently once a cafe, but is now falling down and sad. :(

Needs rescue!

At least three inches of snow on it, and the battery was dead. Poor car receives no end of abuse.

I'm a poor excuse for a bird photog, and this photo is old. I couldn't track these fellows in the sky, but I caught this one perched. f/2.8 probably wasn't helping my cause. 16x9 crop (probably 65% of original frame) and watermark.

She has a very serious infection of a toe, due to playing ball. It happened last sunday and thursday the toe was 10 times as big as it used to be. So we went to the vet, and we went home with two medicines and 110 euro less in my purse. Yesterday the toe ruptured and because we had plans to go away for a week, we went to the vet again. She tried to remove the nail but faled. Probably the nail will come of in a couple of days.

It looks better already. Isabel has been vomiting for two days now due to the medication, so we can't give those anymore. It's too risky, because when she vomits, the Addison medication comes out. So please keep your fingers crossed for Isabel, that the heeling will proceed without the medication.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"La Boca is a popular destination for tourists visiting Argentina, with its colorful houses and pedestrian street, the Caminito, where tango dancers perform and tango-related memorabilia is sold. Other attractions include the La Ribera theatre, many tango music clubs, and Italian taverns. The actual area visited by tourists is only a few blocks long and has been built up for tourism very actively over the last few years, with many market stalls and restaurants catering to tourists. Outside this tourist area, it is a fairly poor neighborhood that has had many regular occurrences of petty crimes reported."

We think Teek was in the basement when the CD case came crashing down. He's been sucky and sweet ALL day. He's still in the bedroom snoozing on my pillow. Come to think of it, I don't know that he's been back downstairs since the middle of the night. Poor lil' scaredy-pants.

Nessa is not amused by this architectural travesty, H&R Blockheads.

We had a quick heavy snow just as I was leaving for work. I had 10 minutes to take pictures. Rushing is not conducive to good pictures! The snow was not great either. It was constantly changing from huge clumps to little pellets. Even though the quality is not great I am still amazed by the detail and beauty of a single flake of snow.

There were a couple dozen full-grown or almost full-grown Mallards preening and jumping around in a hardly-moving dense "stream". I don't know how this one "late" little baby got in there. It was trying to find a substitute mother with no success. Finally got up on the bank where I lost sight of it.

This member of the breed had met its end a long time ago in a scrap yard in Balby Doncaster which is a regular haunt for me and my uncle to find parts for our classic Fords

Poor Steelers kid, maybe next year

In the south Tel Aviv, this Israëli man is living in a barak. Because the bad economical situation he is forced to live like this. He claims to have a piece of ground, he's selling to the government, and they will give him an apartment instead. He's waiting quite some time for it now. Some days he's able to work, a lot of days not. For him this situation is not about safety, but about surviving his economical situation.

These are the apartments the government is building for the people.

The number four is regarded as an unlucky number by many Chinese since its pronunciation (shĭ) is similar to that for the word "death" (shì). In contrast, Chinese People regard the number eight as a very lucky number. This creates a market where high prices are paid for telephone or license plate numbers featuring the number eight and avoiding the number four.

The guy owning this powered bicycle must have been either very poor or missing the proper personal connections in order to avoid this very undesirable bicycle license plate.
