My niece's dog Tic Tac ( Bichon Frisé) won't let go of her Tigger toy.

The strangest place I have taken my boat. Through the arch at Poor Knights Islands, New Zealand. The arch is 90 feet tall and the water is 50 feet deep.

An affectionate stray cat who, we suspect, was born in the ruins of the old house. Like so many others that roam the roof tops of Querétaro he was eventually lost in a bad storm, probably falling into the street or into an empty house that he couldn't get out of.

George has been looking all over for his dentures. He was so worried he was losing his memory. This little red Droit is a real trouble maker!

Poor year....but that is more like it!

By recent standards, a superb selection of moths greeted me this morning at 5.30am, with 9 new for the year and 6 of them new for the garden, a grand total of 29 moths of 21 species was quite frankly overwhelming!

Best moth of the night was undoubtedly Epermenia chaerophyllella which is only my second record of this rather non-descript moth. My last record was on the 3rd of April 2008 in Essex so this is my first Hertfordshire example of this supposed 'common' moth?

Other than that all of the other species were to be expected.

Clouded Drab was nearly my first June example.....

My poor, lonely duck Quacker. Since Jack died two weeks ago he's just been stting in the corner of the paito, bathing in his drinking water instead of the pool. I feel so bad for him. I'm raising two ducklings though, so in a few weeks he'll have a some new friends.

I walked the Bay to Breakers with the Bumblebees (fitness for the rest of us) in 2004. Good times!

Just an engine failure. To be exact, it's the compressor that broke down. It has no engine trouble ever. Really tough car! I love Volvo.

Poor lighting, very dimmed venue. No flash allowed, naturally. Tried to use the circumstances to my advances and went for a "vintage" grainy B/W look. Shot mainly with manual focus, which was a new (but rather fun) experience.

Soccer or football in Europe, is one of the most popular sports in the world and is very famous in African countries. Almost every kid there plays it. Often, they don't have equipped fields or good quality balls in the streets but it doesn't seem to bother them because they have a lot of imagination and hand skills.

The accidental discovery of Sapphires in 1998 attracted lots of people to the region. But after the initial "goldrush" poverty is great and child labour is common practice.

Get well soon, Shadow! ^_^
