Another typical Skye day, so we took the dog up to the Fairy Pools and walked right to the top. This is a stitch of three images taken on the 24mm TS-E, a lovely lens indeed.

I call this series “Icelandic Pools.” There are certainly no shortages of cold, warm, hot, boiling pools in the Iceland highland. Did I already say how much I love this landscape? Which of these pools is your favorite?

trekking along the lake bed of Washoe Lake, we came across these frozen pools leftover from the lake as it is slowly draining. Hopefully the winter will fill the lake back up.

Just back from a rainy week in Skye, had a few bits of nice of light though, and the Fairy Pools are a joy at amy time!

Here is a stitch of three images taken with my 17mm lens handheld there at Yellowstone. The colors there in the water is incredible, and the view seems prehistoric with the steam and gases rising. Liked the lighting there as well with all the clouds around.

This image sums how I feel every time I visit the Fairy Pools on the beautiful Isle of Skye.

The moody and foreboding view of The Coire na Creiche always intimidates me, even in sunnier weather!

I couldn't believe how busy the Fairy Pools were when we arrived. We even struggled to get a parking spot it was that busy.

We headed on up to the most popular vantage spot - I kept on having to stop to pull my socks up as I had my wellies on and they kept falling down! so glad I had purchased them prior to this trip as we lived in them 90% of the week.

Shot using Kase Filters - ND64 (6 Stop) and the Slimline Polariser

Could have ideally done with a slightly faster shutter speed possibly a 2-3 ND Stop filter but I only had the 6 stop with me and didn't want to compromise else where.

Fairy pools.
