7DOS - There's that sand texture again.
There are 2 types of white pointer in Australia.
The great white shark also known as a white pointer, is arguably the world's largest known extant macropredatory fish and is known to prey upon a variety of other marine animals including fish, pinnipeds, and seabirds, and is ranked first in a list of number of recorded attacks on humans.
On the PLUS side, humans are not appropriate prey because shark's digestion is too slow to cope with the human's high ratio of bone to muscle and fat.
Accordingly, in most recorded attacks, great whites broke off contact after the first bite. Fatalities are usually caused by blood loss from the initial limb injury rather than from critical organ loss or from whole consumption.
My state, Queensland has the unenviable record for the highest number of recorded shark attacks with a total of 301, 89 fatal,186 injured and 26 no injuries. Oh joy.
The other type of white pointer is a lot more common, and while it is not normally lethal, there may be serious repercussions if it is unexpectardly encountered in the wild.
WARNING - If you are easily disturbed by the condition of wildlife stranded on rocks, do NOT look at the shot below of the other type of white pointer. You have been warned.

Fort Point is located at the southern side of the Golden Gate at the entrance to San Francisco Bay. This fort was completed just before the American Civil War, to defend San Francisco Bay against hostile warships. The fort is now protected as Fort Point National Historic Site, a United States National Historic Site administered by the National Park Service as a unit of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Point,_San_Francisco

Now a dying breed in the town that they come from, there are still enough about to manage the occasional shot like this.

Stagecoach South Plaxton Pointer 32090 (M102WBW) at Camberley.
New to Thames Transit in 1995, it moved to London after the Stagecoach purchase of the company where it could be more useful for their dual-doors. First to Selkent's Plumstead garage in 1998, then to East London's Barking garage in 1999. Afterwards, PD102 (as it was numbered) transferred to the South division in 2002, adopting the national number of 32090. In 2008 it was purchased by independent Clynnog & Trefor, and remained there until it was scrapped in 2015.
Quede muy contento con el acabado especialmente por el papel es buenisimo debo agradecer a Leo Pamo quien preparo este hermoso papel.
Unlike the other three former Abellio Dennis Darts, W608 UGM has gained City Sprinter's livery and is captured here crossing the River Clyde on it's way to Eastwood Toll.
Millsy keeps an eye out on those still in the ocean (he spent a whole 8 seconds in the water! :-) ).
A wet and wooly Sunday led to the cancellation of the Blue Hole Club swim, but a few hardy souls braved the ocean anyway.

What could have been……
Blackpool was rare amongst operators as it resisted the charms of the Dennis Dart, both the standard and super low floor versions. It did evaluate the type and wasn’t immune to Dennis purchases, as in the early 1980s it did purchase some rare Marshall Cammair bodied Dennis Lancets. Also its first low-floor accessible double decker buses were Dennis Tridents.
However at the time that the Dart was in the ascendancy, Blackpool had a preference for Optare products and plumped for Deltas, MetroRiders, Excels and Solos over Darts. It never ordered the type new or acquired some second hand, unless you count the new Enviro 200MMCs given they’re kinda direct descendants of the Dart and the chassis bears a lot to the Dart.
However this bus is actually a former Arriva bus preserved in the area. It was new to Arriva London North as its PDL90 before it’s transfer to Arriva Wales (Cmyru) as its 922. Purchased by a local preservationist it’s been repainted into Blackpool’s green and cream livery from the 1990s including its tower and waves fleetname. I know purists will be agog at this and some will even point out that based on the bus’s age, it should be Metro Coastlines livery to be period correct. But I don’t mind it. It’s the owner’s decision what to repaint it into after all. It also has acquired a white LED screen and seems to be stored at Blackpool’s Rigby Road depot.
The day previous, 10 September 2021, marked the final day of 82 years of operations at Alperton Bus Garage (garage code ON). The day after, 11 September, it held a farewell open day exhibiting former buses based at Alperton, visiting buses, and current buses in the process of transferral.
A newer example of preservation: Former Selkent Plaxton Pointer-bodied Dennis Dart 34221 (W221DNO). One might say this had turned up at the wrong garage, as it spent its time at Bromley during its London tenure.
Seen on Dumbarton Road, Partick on 21st April 2005, the first day of operation for the McKindless copycat 62s. This is one of a batch of former London Darts acquired for this service.

A comprehensive signpost for Newcastle’s various attractions and a fruit stall are overlooked by Grey’s Monument (1838). It commemorates Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey (1764-1845), who as Prime Minister between 1830-34 was instrumental in achieving the Great Reform Act of 1832 that brought about much-needed parliamentary reform. The monument stands 133 ft tall.
