New to First Midland Red (11/2004) under registration 'VX54MUW'.

Re-registered as 'VX05JWW' (11/03/2005).

Transit Group may be all but forgotten in Milton Keynes but they will live on through this model. It is a resin bodyshell of the 8.5m Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointer produced by Paragon Road Services to fit the shortened chassis, interior and glazing of an EFE diecast, and represents one of the many such vehicles in the Transit fleet. This one, originally DR111 (J611 DUV), was unusual in retaining its Routemaster registration WLT 946 after leaving London service.

Bay Link Travel of Paignton had at the time recently acquired this Pointer Dart, P262NRH. New to East Yorkshire it later saw service with Shamrock, Black Velvet and more recently Brijan. Pictured here in Torquay's Fleet Street whilst operating the weekly T2 service to Trago Mills.

The conditions weren't the best, but then they haven't been for much of November! Kinda serves me right I guess for always saying I prefer wet weather pics to dry dull ones. lol!

Arriva Kent & Surrey 1606 (GN04 UCW) heads to turn around via Locke Way while on route 437 duties, while sister 1607 (GN04 UCX) approaches the stand with a 28 to Guildford.

Shortly afterwards, both buses chased each other down the High Street having set off for their respective destinations.

From 15th December 2014, route 437 will be diverted inbound to Woking via Maybury Arch and Maybury Road, to terminate at the station (thus approaching from the background, rather than the way 1606 is facing).

Oriental Road and the Community Hospital will no longer be served towards Woking, but will still be so on outbound journeys.

Pedantry corner:

Like 1629 and 1630, I note that 1606 has had its back end tweaked, and no longer carries the yellow stripe around the back (though still does the front - as does 1607).

Stagecoach Merseyside Dennis Dart SLF/Transbus Pointer 34478.PX53DKE in St Helens on the 1st September 2010.

A very smart 42 seat Super Pointer Dart which arrived in the High Street setting down its passengers before departing. I have no idea what route it was working.

Having done some more research it would appear this bus came from Constables / Beestons in July 2010, of course new originally to Lothian, 157.

1993 Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointer new to Badgerline in 1993. This shows her at Bridgwater bus station on a Sunday in 2003/4 showing some confusion. She was allocated to Taunton then back to Bath, then Weston. Carries Southern National fleetname on Badgerline livery and route number 163 (a Badgerline working). Badgerline/City Line magnetic card validator has been removed.

Are you coming in or what?

This sign is painted on the back of a glass tile. I found it wrapped up amongst Grandpa's printing equipment with other relics of the Law Stationery business and I guess it directed customers at one of their premises. Maybe he painted it himself?

At the end of July 2018, Transdev Blazefield transferred TransBus Mini Pointer Dart 710 (YJ04LXT) from The Keighley Bus Company to Rosso. It was allocated to Queensgate depot in Burnley and used to operate Lancashire County Council tendered services 11 (Rawtenstall to Haslingden & Helmshore circular) and 12 (Rawtenstall bus station to Balladen via Hall Carr). This bus was new to Keighley & District in March 2004 and entered service with Rosso in debranded green and blue Transdev Keighley & District livery. After being unavailable during August, 710 returned to service in September and was photographed at Rawtenstall bus station on 20 September 2018.

Arriva London North Dennis Dart SLF 10.2m/Plaxton Pointer DPP431, R431 COO [EC] on route 34 in Great North Road, Barnet. 1 February 2002.

The worst thing about the single deckers on the 34 were that the bus was to single door layout. The route is busy at most times of the day and evening with constant on & off loadings. The dual door ADL's from route 444 that made odd workings on the 34 seemed to run more efficiently at most locations were the bus would get packed. It meant people at the back of the bus wishing to alight didn't hold the bus up for a minute or two until they could get to the front door. The route has been converted to double deck with these buses cascaded to Arriva London South.

It was new to Stagecoach Cambridgeshire in April 2004 and had been based at Peterborough.
