LV52 HGJ was a Transbus Dart / Plaxton Pointer B29F purchased new by Stagecoach Selkent as their DM371 in December 2002, and later renumbered as 34371. It passed East London Bus Group in June 2006, and returned to Stagecoach with that business. In December 2012 it was transferred to Stagecoach South, and on to Fife in August 2014.

"Good morning," said Eeyore gloomily. "If it is a good morning," he said. "Which I doubt,"

"The Pointer combines athletic grace and power with a lean, muscular body, noble head, alert expression, and noble carriage" (National Kennel Club).

Another view of Arriva Buses Wales VDL Pulsar 2 3142 - CX12 DSY, this time pictured on Saughall Road working service 1A to Chester bus interchange. A feature of the Blacon Pointer routes is that buses can interwork between the 1 and the 1A as is the case here where this bus was working both the clockwise and anticlockwise circuits.

First Cymru Transbus Dart/Pointer carrying 'Cymru Clipper' branding in Ravenhill depot, Swansea.

A warm sunny March day meant I was finally motivated to SORN the Dart and start sanding it down ready for repaint. It will be put back in its original Kinchbus livery (or as close as possible) If all is well, it will be ready for action in May.

I was not the only one interested in capturing my wildlife subject. When I saw this beauty coming closer on the other side, I was completely taken by him or her, enough that I started to shoot this dog instead of my subject. It was the first time I saw a German Shorthaired Pointer, well I think that is what it is. Would love to take head shots of this very lovely animal some day.

I've been so envious of all the gorgeous little greens that my flickr friends Jeff and Jerome have posted lately! I haven't seen one this season, so I rummaged around in my archives and found this old one.

This little green heron is staring very intently at his intended prey. He is displaying classic hunting posture; crouching in the branches on shore waiting for his food to come close. The solitary Green Heron usually forages from a perch, where it stands with its body lowered and stretched out horizontally, ready to thrust its bill at unsuspecting prey. One of the few birds known to use tools, the Green Heron will attract prey with bait (feathers, small sticks, or berries) that it drops into the water. He has several sticks right at hand if he needs them--I wish he had chosen to use the one right in front of his neck so it wouldn't have been in my way!

Photograph taken at Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park. Used Nikon 400mm manual lens with tripod. No processing other than what the camera does (SOOC), except a crop
