Today we went to Clacton Air Show. The weather was a bit on/off, but luckily the sun came out and the clouds disappeared whilst I was taking this shot.

I'm really pleased with how it's turned out as they are so quick I didn't think I'd managed to get any decent shots at all.

Please see the set from the day (over on the right of the page) as I managed to get some fantastic pictures of the the Lancaster Bomber.

From Brightlingsea, the next leg of the journey involved travelling on the Brightlingsea Harbour foot ferry to Point Clear and having completed the three minute crossing, the ferry boat is captured at the Point Clear terminal. In case you are wondering why the vessel is empty, the ferryman is away placing an advertising flag further up the shingle bank.

Click to zoom in. This shot shows how much has been built on the old Manor and the lowland marshes over the last c60 years in Brightlingsea, Essex. Lower Park Road was devoid of homes on the marsh side with only the old Crab & Winkle line train station built on a rise. Gandergoose Creek ran beside the line down over the road to Gandergoose Green, the central reservation on Station Road opposite the Railway Tavern and Community Center.
