"Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances."
Of course Tarkin wasn't staying at the Tropicana Hotel.
I've been thinking about what to do with jet engines I got in a Chima set, and also thinking about building one more speeder to improve my building skills.
Today I came up with an idea of making a pod racer as in Star Wars: EP 1. However, the minifigure pilot I have is actually a resistance pilot, precisely appearing much later in the SW galaxy.
So I tried the speeder to be more like a EP 4 thing, rather than a streamlined naboo star fighter.
Probably the resistance appropriated the Pod Racer to their fighter speeder. :D

This shot has a bit of a funny story behind it but mostly for the English speaking people. We were doing a walk along the Vintgar Gorge, near Bled, Slovenia, when I saw a sign for this waterfall. The sign read "Poo slap". Since I don't speak Slovenian I couldn't tell whether that was a joke or not. Slap means waterfall in Slovenian but poo??? So I approached the waterfall with caution and found this beauty and forgot about the mental images I was creating in my head. It turned out the real name was "Pod slap" so I guess some English speaker thought it would be funny to make the name of the place look like "poo slap".

This is a Seed Pod from the Southern Magnolia Tree. ( they really are this red.) Look closely and you can see the seeds almost ready to disperse. The Magnolias take on the look of a Christmas Tree when these turn bright red. We put plastic bags over the pods to catch the seeds.
