Macro shot of a fluffy seed pod I found. Its brown tones worked great against the seriously out of focus brown wall behind.

Developing milkweed (Asclepias) seed pods (follicles) - Monarch butterflies (or rather their caterpillars) love to chew on these plants, so if you see the pods opening collect some seeds for your butterfly garden! Milkweed sap is a folk remedy used to remove warts and to treat Poison Ivy dermatitis. It is supposed to be used externally though and is toxic when ingested.

Milkweed seed pods or as I like to call them, Fairy Boats. Don't they look like tiny boats filled with resting Fairies in white flowing skirts? Taken with Pinhole app on Android smart phone.

Highlight of our trip.

Our whale watching two hour tour was seeing the usual, whakle at a great distance, coing up for air and disappearing just as you located them. Then the incredible happened. A pod of orcas approached our boat head on, five or 6 abreast. The passed the boat quickly, then they returned to sim along side the boat for a good half hour. Diving under it and coming up on the other side. Putting on a real show for us.

Our tour guide had his camera out...and when that happens you know you are skiing something special. We stayed out an hour longer than scheduled to enjoy this unexpected treat.

The orcas were in te area to feed on the fish which were very plentiful.

Wiki: The killer whale or orca (Orcinus orca) is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family, of which it is the largest member. Killer whales have a diverse diet, although individual populations often specialize in particular types of prey. Some feed exclusively on fish, while others hunt marine mammals such as seals and dolphins. Killer whales are apex predators - they have no predators.

Killer whales are highly social; some populations are composed of matrilineal family groups (pods) which are the most stable of any animal species. Their sophisticated hunting techniques and vocal behaviours, which are often specific to a particular group and passed across generations, have been described as manifestations of animal culture.

Zoom shot of the travellers on the London Eye! I would love to go on here one day - though the length of the queue we walked by was very very long!

cell phone shot , havent had time to take it out for a proper photo shoot

Roomy interior definately bigger than it looks , specially parked next to a gas guzzling SUV , all the bells and whistles are pretty much standar (even i-pod conection , in steering wheel controls) and it has a pretty good get-up-and-go, 142hp and a decent gas milage, 5 star crash rating , 4 wheel disk brakes and awesome Alien green color

This is an older photo of mine, but I wanted to see what comments it would get.

Paddle or Die (POD) Member Eve. 48. Exceptional technical paddler. Loves water whether its under her kayak, in a stream for collecting, or to wash her hair when others can barely stand to splash it on their face. Also chief mug and kettle washer, because of the water.
