A grand vista over Derby with lots and lots to see. Railway wise, Chaddesden sidings in the foreground with 60028 & one its grey sisters, plus a NR MMT. The NR Mercia House "super depot" is here also.
In the middle can be seen Etches Park and the RTC, and beyond Litchurch Lane works and the NR EMCC building.
The colourful Velodrome stands out too in the middle distance to the left, and in the far distance can be seen the Rolls Royce factory, a plane taking off from East Midlands Airport, and Willington power station.
Yep, I think I've covered everything of interest there...!

Young male Grey Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica) fixing his fine eye on the viewer.
Named for a superficial resemblance to "old world" families, the GST is neither shrike nor thrush, but a type of whistler. Their joyous and melodic song is a familiar and much-loved sound throughout eastern Australia and Tasmania (and southern New Guinea).

Ahh. Finally. A vacation.
I was supposed to go to Gotham to take on this mob boss named "Mr. Freeze" (cheesy, I know), but I ended up here in Star City, home of another archer, the Green Arrow.
Anyways, so here I am, chilling in my hotel room in my costume after a night on the town, and a woman comes bursting through my window. At first she's a streak of red and black, and she pulls out an arrow from her quiver, using her bow to aim it at me.
"Hello, sweetie!"
Cupid.
I roll backwards behind the bed and fumble for an arrow of my own. Placing it on my bow, I aim it at her forehead.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from me last time we say each other?"
"Oh, you know I can't help it."
We circle around the room, arrows aimed at each other.
"What do you want?"
"Im here for a bounty on the Green Arrow's head. Know where she is?"
The Green Arrow? Who sent Cupid? And why would anyone send Cupid?
"Listen, I'm just here on vacation."
She raises an eyebrow in confusion.
"Oh? I thought you two knew each other?
"And why would that be?"
"Because you two both..."
"Both..."
"Both have arrows and bows?"
I shake my head in disappointment.
"Oh well. Two birds with one stone I guess."
She launches an arrow at me, and luckily, I narrowly dodge it. I go in for a lunge, with the tip of my own arrow pointed at her. She kicks off the wall and I miss. Using her momentum, she kicks out at my face, and her foot connects with my cheek. I roll backwards and shoot an arrow, this time narrowly grazing her shoulder.
"This fight's gonna have the same outcome as last time."
She shoots an arrow at me, which lodges itself in my right shoulder. My arm, crippled, drops the arrow I'm holding.
"Oh. Sorry, sweetie. I guess it didn't happen the way you thought it would."
She shrugs.
"Sure you don't know where she is?"
I look around, looking for something to disorient her. In the distance, I hear a faint thwip.
"Positive. You hear that?"
"No...What is..."
Just then, a green and black blur smashes through the other window.
"Oh come on! One window is expensive enough!"

Bit of a weird issue, I know. Believe me. Anyways, this is part 1 of a small crossover I'm doing with Mr. Ham. Hope you enjoy! Plus, photo is much, much blurrier than I expected. Also, expect an app for a new series soon!

Steam and warm water from the hot springs kept the streets free from snow and ice. The village is famous for the nine bathhouses - each one with a special attribute that could cure illnesses or other health issues.

One of the finest youtuber with a amazing reviews love your reviews bro 😍
it handles surprisingly well on country road at 110 + kph and unsealed road.
Tho it kept being mentioned as city car.
It could overtake trucks and bigger cars on highway like a (little) beast with no issues once you are familiar w/ its characters.

IGNIS - Micro-SUV:
why:
ignis has the one of the best power to weight ratio,
i love it on Hills Road.
- Leistungsgewicht : 10.1 kg/hp
it speeds up and up like a 650 Suzuki motor cycle!
-
I do the FASTEST LAPS which No other Indian cars can match it on Hills ,
with DUAL JET FUEL Injection, 16 valves!
Ampelstart:
200 Höhenmeter:
1,5 km
Auf langer Steigung, bis zu 8%, schafft er von Tempo 50 - über 70, 80 bis auf 100 km/h -
im dritten Gang;

ps
In Europe Suzuki Ignis Dual Injection 16V, has an optimated powertrain.
Only 61 kW, 107 Nm torque.
But at 2.800 rpm.
Plus: Mild Hybrid Systems gives YOU 35 Nm if needed .
11% fuel consumption less.
About 10kg / hp, so it is a speedy hill climber.
Highest trim Level is Comfort Plus.
Ps
Suspension is optimated!

City- driving:
Easy to get 4.7 litres per 100 km.
A lovely place to visit & we were so lucky to have the perfect blue sky.
This National Trust property has a lovely 17th Century house, grounds & garden - well worth a visit.
Plus great tea room of course.

According to the website & very sad news :
due to high levels of bovine tuberculosis (bTB) detected in our deer, we had to cull the entire herd at Dyrham Park in March 2021.
Despite our efforts to try to control the disease, which has included taking advice from Government agencies and other experts, infection rates continued to rise since it was first detected on site in 2007. We were sadly left with no other choice but to cull the deer in order to prevent any further suffering due to this terrible disease. The health and welfare of the deer herd has always been our number one priority.
While it was a very sad few months coming to this conclusion, we do have every intention to rid the site of bTB and will reintroduce the deer to this historic parkland setting as soon as we are able.

I have just uploaded some shots from the Swanage Railway's brilliant Bulleid event on the Sunday earlier this year. This shot is of 35018 'British India Line'. For the rest of the Bulleids see - davebowles.smugmug.com/Recent-events-and-uploads/9th-June...

Thanks to everyone who viewed, commented, and favorited my previous photo. I was overwhelmed by the response and can't get back to everyone who commented and made me a contact...much appreciated, though. (plus, I have a new kitten...time consuming to get her used to two humans, two dogs, and one irritated old cat)
This photo is just your time-wasting-putting water drops on a CD, experimenting with light and Photoshop......
The last of the sun.
After this the clouds got lower and darker and the wind gusted 40+ which made for an interesting walk through those fields and down to the beach. Especially on the way back up!
My third attempt at a photo a day challenge. The first two were horrific failures. Maybe starting on January 1st will make a difference for me this time.
Probably not.
We had some trees removed from our property last week. This is all that's left of one that I really didn't want to lose. It was rotting in the middle and it was close to the house... but I really loved it.
These wintertime visitors are always a treat and so the encounters are always special to me. The one that was one his perch stepped down into the shallow water to join the second Roseate Spoonbill that arrived a few minutes later. So, it was now a double your pleasure moment with the Spoonbills while the White Pelican stretched and contorted off in the distance on Horsepen Bayou.
