Well that's another Farnborough Airshow done and dusted for 2 years. The show takes place at the birthplace of British Aviation every other year and is essentially a trade-only show with the exception of the final day, Friday, which is open to the public. Entry for the under 22s is free.
Anyway, getting to the site usually involves a short bus ride provided by Stagecoach from Farnborough (Main), North Camp and Aldershot railway stations, or, a short ride on a Go-Ahead London bus from the Queen's Parade car park site (routes FB1/2). An internal shuttle (FB3) is provided by Go Ahead.
This year around 50 buses were used across the week-long event with both companies swapping vehicles throughout the week. Whilst nothing majorly exciting was used, there were still plenty of liveries to keep the cameras happy.

A rather long history... This aircraft was delivered to Irish Aerospace Ltd as G-RJER in Sep-91 and stored until it was leased to Airtours International Airways in Mar-92 for the airline's start-up in May-92. It was returned to Irish Aerospace in Apr-96 and sold to Aero USA Inc as N882RA the following month.
It was leased to Reno Air (USA) at the end of May-96. Reno Air was merged into American Airlines in Aug-99 and the aircraft continued in service until it was returned to the lessor in Aug-01 when it was stored at Roswell, NM, USA.
It was leased to Freebird Airlines (Turkey) as TC-FBT in Jun-02 and returned to the lessor in Mar-05. The aircraft was due to be leased to SkyWings Airlines (Greece) later that month but the lease was cancelled.
It was leased to Viking Airlines AB (Sweden) as SE-RDH in May-05 and immediately wet-leased to Air Scandic (UK) for the summer season, returning to Viking Airlines in Sep-05. It was wet-leased to SkyWings (Greece) in Nov-05.
In Feb-06 it changed from a wet-lease to a dry-lease (see below) and was re-registered SX-BSW. The aircraft was wet-leased to UK Jet for the summer season between Apr/Oct-06. In May-07, operated by SkyWings, the aircraft was based at Prestwick, Scotland for the summer season operating for a Scottish Tour Operator.
However the operation was plagued by flight delays, mostly due to technical reasons, which eventually appeared in the UK press and the Tour Operator terminated the contract in Aug-07. The aircraft returned to Greece and was wet-leased to Hellas Jet until Dec-07 when it was returned to SkyWings who returned it to Viking Airlines who returned it to the lessor.
In Jan-08 the aircraft was leased to Khors Aircompany (Ukraine) as UR-CDR. In Feb-08 the aircraft was noted operating services from Tehran, Iran, possibly for Zagros Air. It was stored at Jakarta-CGK for the 2008/09 winter and was wet-leased to Zagros Air (Iran) in May-09.
The wet-lease to Zagros Air became a dry-lease (or, more likely, sale) in Feb-12 and it was re-registered EP-ZAC. The aircraft continued in service until 23-Nov-18 (according to FR24). After 27 years in service I think it's probably stored although there's always the possiblity it's on a major maintenance check. Updated (Jan-19).
Note: People sometimes ask me "what's the difference between a wet-lease and a dry-lease?", so here it is...
DRY LEASE. Usually used in long-term leases when the aircraft owner (or operator) leases the aircraft to an airline which then operates it as if it was their own, providing crew and accepting all DOC's (direct operating costs).
WET LEASE. Usually for seasonal and short-term leases, also known as an ACMI lease where the leasing airline provides the Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance. The lessee airline provides fuel, catering and ground handling and sometimes supply their own cabin staff.
There is also a DAMP LEASE, which as you might imagine, is somewhere between a DRY and a WET lease. It doesn't happen often though and involves an aircraft leased with flight crew (and sometimes cabin crew) where the lessee airline pays for maintenance, insurance and everything else.
