Last weekend I was hired to go up north to do an engagement session. I couldn't stop thinking, the whole time we were there.. how lucky we are. Not only did they hire me to do their engagement pictures, they had us stay in their gorgeous cottage for the weekend!
These two.. were FANTASTIC! They were SO much fun to work with and so in love :)

Please don't go to school
And leave me all alone
Unless you promise me
You'll call me on the phone
There is nothing here for me
Please take me along
I'll stay right by your side
And sing your favorite song
During what was thought to be GIO Rail's final run to St. Catharines on the Grantham Spur, a couple of friends and I ventured a little over a hundred kilometres to go see it. We unfortunately missed the train's arrival on the spur as it got there about an hour earlier than expected, and by the time we showed up it was already down to the last customer before making its way back south. A slight hiccup to be sure, but nothing too serious. The boxcars now had to be loaded/unloaded by employees of the industry, Dunn Paper, before the train could continue. The process took at least another three hours after this photo was taken, but chatting with the other photographers who arrived from all over made the wait significantly more bearable. It was the silver lining of an otherwise depressing event - what very well could be the final train to run over the right-of-way of a long-dead interurban. The "chase" ended up only lasting for about 500 metres when it was found the locomotive was leaking oil, prompting the crew to tie it down for the night later that afternoon. It was certainly a disappointing conclusion for us, but still a solid introduction to a shortline railroad I'd never shot before. The remainder of this train's final run was conducted the following day.
A brief ray of sunlight shines on TRRY 1859 at Dunn Paper while a lake-effect snow squall darkens the sky behind it.

I am excited beyond words to have landed into the top ten of the Air&Space/Smithsonian Annual Photographic Contest, Military Aviation Category. There is a Readers Choice award, done by vote.
I have 2 photos in the top ten but this one is my favourite - and its the only UK finalist, the only RAF finalist so please can you go give it your vote? The Reds are the best after all! And vote early vote often, you can vote once per day!! Thank you!

Southbound CSX Q143 creeps into downtown La Grange, Kentucky, as the late afternoon shadows loom over the town’s main street. In the siding, northbound Q574 waits patiently. It will be cleared momentarily, having also waited for a monster southbound Q575. It’s Palindrome Day, and 575 seems like an appropriate number for the rare occasion.
