I am probably alone in thinking that numbering a platform as zero is like acknowledging it hardly exists. In this case, at Doncaster you have to walk along a walkway for a fair distance to find the platform, which hides underneath a department store.
DB Cargo Drax liveried Class 60 locomotive 60066 leaves platform 3a having been temporarily evicted, (to allow a Northern DMU to be stabled) where it had been on display at this years Stockport Station Railshow, note the Virgin Trains Pendolino that has been held to allow the 60 out.

An old rotting platform standing off Spurn Point in East Yorkshire, I've no idea what it's purpose was though!
On the day I left the South Coast driving cross-country to our new home in Maine. I miss this view. Not sure how it looks now as the platform was already in the process of being dismantled then. 16 Royal Ordanance Factories were built to manufacture munitions during the second World War. It produced various ammunitions including mortars for the army and bombs for the RAF. It was connected by a circular railway, and linked to the main line. Today Thorpe Arch is a shopping park, as well as housing the Northern Reading Room, Northern Listening Service and Document Supply Centre of the British Library. Another part is a prison, originally HMP Thorp Arch, now HMP Wealstun. It is also where Leeds United have their training facilities.
