One for the sad bag club. I collect English Electric plates and have thirty plates of different sizes, shapes, castings and ages. The largest, shown at the top is 27" long. The smallest one a mere 4". EE produced much more than rail equipment and I dare say some of these plates, especially those in good condition, came from other sources other than rail.
This set were taken for this month's Flickr for Fun Scavenger Hunt. The themes for this month were five words starting with "P": purple, plate, pair, pile, pattern.
This one has the advantage of being 5 for the price of 1. A Pile of pebbles on a Pair of Purple Patterned Plates :)

This large plate is signed by an unknown maker. Potentially from Australia, it was found in Chicago.
This is part of my "delta zen" pottery. The fern is a young cinnamon fern. I was really happy that it naturally curved to fit the base of the platter and I didn't have to do very much coaxing.

Spotted at Zürich Airport, this very low plate from Zürich! In Zürich, numbers 1 to 999 aren't sold, so this number 1003 is as if I had spotted the number 4 of Zürich!
Found this beautiful piece of fine china at my local thrift store for just $1.99. (I bought the 5 plates they had.) As you can see, there's gold trim all around the outside, and in a ring in the center. Perfect condition, no flaws.
My first plate from Postojna, in the West of the country! Only one region misses in my Slovenian codes map!
