Baker's Edge pan. The channel is 2.5 inches, so it doesnt really make much more than "pizza strips."

Matt just worked a string of Saturdays so we haven’t had his homemade pizza since February! He made up for lost time by making a whole pizza for each of us, so we’ll get to indulge tonight and have a couple easy & delicious lunches & snacks this week. So. good.

Grabbed some pie after the NYC Film Food Fest Pizza Night screenings in the parking lot next door.

The beauty shot. This was probably the best pizza I've made in months.

Detroit-style Pizza with Pepperoni.

Alpaca cooling down.

I had always thought that all gas-oven broiler drawers opened by both pulling out and by tilting down like a pickup truck gate. According to slinginpies on Slice, though, his drawer does not tilt down. Bummer. I couldn't imagine getting good peel access without the tilting drawer front.

A wise man ... OK, it was Paulie Gee ... once said that the most important tool he has in his kitchen is the trash can. If a pizza is bad, he throws it out and starts over rather than sending it to the customers hoping to pull one over on them. This one here was beyond salvaging, so I followed Paulie's advice. That meant I had to start all over again....

I finally, after a month of cooking for myself, broke down and ordered delivery food. But I don't go halfway. Mozza2go FTW!

these are the first zucchini from the garden this spring. Since it was pizza night i figured what better time to start the harvest.

Our oven, a gas range, has the broiler on the bottom. You place stuff under it in a drawer. This is where I cook my pizzas, on a pizza stone. Unfortunately, it means that instead of standing at the stove, I spend half my time on my elbows and knees, peeking into the broiler drawer and moving the pizza around.

I had to pull this pizza before the top cooked properly. The bottom was in danger of burning completely black.
