Rod and Debbie are friends with our friends so we were lucky enough to join them for their weekly PIZZA NIGHT at their home in Trout Lake. Everyone makes their own pizzas and Rod cooks them up in their fantastic wood fired pizza oven in their yard. Delicious and super fun! The fire roasted tomato sauce was the BEST!

Inspired by Detroit-style pan pizza, I took the mozzarella out to the edge. Full coverage. 550 grams of dough. 4 to 5 ounces cheese. Cooked 5 minutes pre-mozz, then 16 minutes more. Need to pull pizza out sooner, though. Cheese is approaching burnt at edges. Two minutes less might be ideal.

Now, "brined mushrooms" and a dusting of grana padano.

I think everyone that was there now wants a pizza oven.

Pics from the awesome pizza night at Miles B's house, prior to Edge of the Web 2008.

Pizza night + Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Steve and I got sick and pretty much stayed in the apartment all weekend. :(

*The unique pizza in the photo tastes as weird as it looks. I do love the crust though. So yummy!

"Potatoes with Cheese" more or less with green and yellow sauce.

The oil is still bubbling at the edges.

Dishing up the Cerviche. Ceviche is citrus-marinated seafood salad, where the citrus cooks the raw fish. The cerviche leftover "juice" is known (sold) as the "milk of the Tiger" because it's so strong (and sour!)
