It's been a hard day's night for Pixie and this is a well-earned break ...... in a few minutes she will be back to knocking things off tables , cat flix online , climbing trees etc etc. !
Spring Pixie is done!! I am so excited!!!! (This pic just doesn't do it justice!!!)
After I'd made the final stitches, it seemed like something was missing. The starkness of the white fabric made these little guys look like ghosts, so I took my colored pencils and very lightly filled in the blank spots. It's kinda hard to tell in the pic, but in person the result is pretty cool. I'm very pleased. :)

I believe this is a pixie cup lichen, or Cladonia asahinae, something I've never seen before. The "cups" were no more than 5mm across. I found it near Lake Chabot, Anthony Chabot Regional Park, California.
Another mushroom shoot.....give me a break, I think they are pretty and photogenic. This is a Common Bonnet or Pixies Cap.
I have been asked what the orange glow is coming from within the log. Its a pixie and Fairy party of course.
