Note: my images are processed to appear correct on a calibrated, professional grade colour-accurate monitor set to Adobe RGB output / 6500 K temperature / gamma 2.2. Many consumer grade screens (particularly mobile phone screens) at default settings will display these images with too much saturation and contrast, so please bear this in mind when viewing on such devices.

Day 19

Shot in camera Pixel Shift mode

View from Owler Tor looking over Lawrencefield towards Padley Gorge. The Peak District, Derbyshire.

"Wind" is putting it mildly with this one. Extremely blustery and challenging conditions for large format, but Portra 400 saved the day. I was hoping for a break in the clouds and to be rewarded with some dramatic side lighting, but it wasn't to be. Regardless, I still like how this turned out.

The Bass Rock sits just beyond the mouth of the Firth of Forth in East Lothian, a volcanic outcrop now uninhabited but previously home to a hermit.

Nice to see it performing a little better than my last visit. I still think it can do one better, I'm just not sure my gear is up to the weather conditions should the opportunity arise!

I was lucky on this occasion, got a nice break in the rain to squeeze a few of these shots off.
