Brecon Cathedral, Brecon, Powys, UK. Because of the characteristic round shape of its churchyard, the cathedral is thought to be on the site of an earlier Celtic church, of which no trace remains.
Had about 2hrs in Brecon recently but only had the Samyang lens with me so was a little limited with possibilities....please zoom in to view in more detail....

When Vanilla Leaf starts to finish for the year they get very thin and translucent with a nice vein structure, so I placed some colored leaves as a base with vanilla leaf on top. This was a test to try the 240 mp pixelshift with a 1 x 4 focus stacked panorama but I didn't have enough ram to stack them so they had to be down sized then there was some leaf curling causing movement so that had to be cropped out but I still ended up with enough to make a 2' x 5' print.
Workflow wise using the A7rIV pixelshift I shoot the raws then assemble them in Sony Imaging Edge Desktop Viewer into .arq files then I create a profile in Rawtherapee then using the Rawtherapee-cli I convert the files to tiff, then these are stacked in Zerene Stacker, and the finished picture is edited in Photoshop.

Gave up against the wind and decided to bring in the Poppy to try the pixel shift on the K1 without disturbance.
Here's another shot of the same sunrise as my last post. This one, obviously a little later on after the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. This is another pixel shift shot, but due to bandwidth constraints, I can't upload the full size of this one.
Thanks to all for being my Flickr friends and for your endless inspiration! Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

I visited the the abandoned police headquarters in Frankfurt to take some large format photos with panorama technique. With this technique and the pixelshift function of my Sony camera I get very high resolution images with rich tones. The technique requires absolute still motives. it takes multiple shots for one photo and patience. But the results are stunning. The resolution of the original photo is about 500 megapixels and rich of details.

Detail of St. Clement's, Rodel, Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Visited this wonderful little church, so well worth it, seemed to be lost back in it's own time, no decoration on the walls, except for carvings, will hopefully post some other images in the future. Tried to catch some of the light and atmosphere with this shot.

Dounreay nuclear power station from around the coast at Portskerra.
In the foreground, the next headland around shows lovely rock strata as psammite gives way to sandstone.
Some of the most wonderful light I've seen - snow glowing in the subtlest remains of twilight, cold silver-white contrasting with the cobalt blue sky above.
Stuc a'Chroin and a sweeping arc of Ben Vorlich from Scout Head hill, Gargunnock.
Originally taken as a vertorama to include a lot lower detail, but I took these two images and super-resolved them for a very large high-detailed view of the mountains.
