Former tram station.
Fortunately, the station is in a good state of repair, having been converted into a home, thus preserving the historic building.
Marignac - Pont-du-Roy tramway line (1914-1954).
In 1906, the French Society of the Marignac to the Aran Valley Tramway was created. The objective was to create a line from the Marignac station of the French Railways to Salardú (Haut-Aran, Lleida, Spain), crossing the entire valley. However, due to the lack of an agreement between the French and Spanish authorities at the time, the tramway could not cross the border and terminated at the King's Bridge (Pont du Roy/Puente del Rey).
The official inauguration took place on July 14, 1914, coinciding with the French National Holiday.
The short tram line, barely 15 km long, allowed the Aranese people a more or less direct connection to major cities such as Toulouse. Let's remember that until the construction of the La Bonaigua road and later the Vielha tunnel, the inhabitants of the beautiful Aran Valley were practically cut off from the rest of the Iberian Peninsula during the winter months.
It's also worth noting that the small tramway carried freight traffic from the mining sites of the Aran Valley and the Melles-Sérial quarries.
The construction of the Vielha tunnel and the increase in road traffic led to the closure of the small tramway from Marignac to Pont du Roy in 1954.

On the Sunday of Open House we made it to One Bishops Square. They made it very easy for people to get around this building with arrows on the wall so you could follow a self-guided tour. The main attraction is the 8 storey tall light installation called Pixel Cloud.
I lay on the floor to get this shot and had waited quite a while for the lights to change colour to this green and yellow.
