The red color pop is mostly coming from Hipstamatic filters. I switched out the sky using Quickshot and Pixelmator, smoothened out some noise in Lightroom, made some adjustments in Photos (iPad Pro), and then framed in Snapseed to finish.

The James Webb Space Telescope captured this image of Jupiter in infrared light. The numerous bright white spots and streaks are likely very high-altitude cloud tops of storms. Auroras around the poles are seen in red !

Photos taken from space help us better understand things that happen on land. They visualize land masses such as mountain ranges, show where different ecosystems meet, and even how the population of cities expand over time. But have you ever considered that space imaging may also help us understand the Earth’s oceans, too ?

This image shows the Sculptor Galaxy in a new light !
This false-color composition shows specific wavelengths of light released by hydrogen, nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen. These elements exist in gas form all over the galaxy, but the mechanisms causing this gas to glow can vary throughout the galaxy.
The pink light represents gas excited by the radiation of newborn stars, while the cone of whiter light at the center is caused by an outflow of gas from the black hole at the galaxy’s core.

To celebrate its anniversary, NASA released four recent images taken by Hubble that prove its staying power even after three decades !

A quick attempt at the Milky Way looking south down the newly renamed Saugeen (formerly Sauble) Beach.
I attempted this as an afterthought and really did not have a location determined. I chose the beach for the low horizon and the least amount of light when facing south although there is light from Southampton, Port Elgin, and Kincardine very much present on the horizon.
This particular location came from a walk in the dark and being spooked by the dead wood sticking up in the water. I set up here and shot low.

StarryLandscapeStacker - 20 images to get the core.
The original foreground was about 10 images with hasty light painting. f11 - ISO400 - 3-5 sec.
This foreground is one light painted shot at the settings above, masked into the StarryLandscapeStacker photo. It is better in that you can see footprints in the sand with great clarity.
This is a quick edit - I might redo this and upload a better version.

In the world of Françoise Sagan, ‘Bonjour tristesse’ is a novel that explores the emotional complexities of adolescence through the character of Cécile, a 17-year-old girl.
Inspired by this theme, let's imagine a short story entitled ‘Bonsoir Tristesse’, which could take place after the events of the book.
Cécile, a few years later …
Cécile, now 21, finds herself alone in the Paris flat she once shared with her father. Night falls on the city, and with it a familiar melancholy sets in. Ever since Anne's death, there has been an emptiness in her life, a feeling she can't quite put into words other than ‘sadness’.
A return to the past !
Sitting on the sofa, Cécile flips through an old photo album. Images of her carefree summers on the Côte d'Azur flash before her eyes. She remembers the laughter she shared with Cyril and the moments of complicity with Elsa.
But these memories are tarnished by the memory of Anne and the guilt that goes with it …

°°°°°°°°°°°°°
A documentary photographer travelled across America for three years to explore the divide in the US by spending time with people he felt had been politically, socially and culturally ignored for decades.
He photographed only in black and white so as not to distract the viewer, and because he is colour blind and couldn't process colour photos!
Sharum used a Sony RX1R II to film his project!
The result is in front of you, what do you think artists ?
