Elle a au moins l’avantage de bien montrer le camouflage et le matos utilisés par les photographes qui se doivent de rester cacher pour ne pas déranger la faune rencontrée et qu’ils veulent capturer 😗

La nature a beaucoup à nous apprendre. L'architecte Vincent Callebaut s'inspire de notre environnement pour concevoir ses structures avant-gardistes. Sa création conceptuelle Lilypad en est un parfait exemple. Lilypad est une île flottante inspirée du gigantesque nénuphar Victoria, une espèce de nénuphar connue pour ses feuilles les plus grandes de toutes les plantes aquatiques. Leurs limbes (feuilles) peuvent atteindre près de 3 mètres de diamètre. De même, Lilypad de Callebaut est une immense structure autonome entourée d'eau.

We can learn a lot from nature. Architect Vincent Callebaut looks to our environment as a guide for designing his forward-thinking structures. His conceptual creation Lilypad is a prime example. Lilypad is a floating island that draws inspiration from the gigantic Victoria amazonic, a species of water lily known for having the largest leaves of any water plant. Their lamina (leaves) can grow up to nearly 10 feet in diameter. Similarly, Callebaut’s Lilypad is a massive self-sustaining structure surrounded by water.

A shot of Brighton Pier, taken during high tide with the waves rolling in off a gentle sea.

The light was really bright to one side, and then this wide bank of cloud. Which created the unique reflecting light of the sea.

I liked the way the pier intersected the image.

There's something to be said for visiting beautiful places especially with mountains views and beautiful blue skies above. Even with a wide angle view, one only has to stand and let the grandeur or nature and a wintry landscape flood the senses. It doesn't hurt when this location is also a famous overlook from a very well known photographer! So with some helpful advice from another photographer on focus techniques with my Nikon D800E, I captured this image in Grand Teton National Park at the Snake River Overlook.

One of the things I do with my Mac is to rotate desktop images from past trips. I could say it's for a number of reasons, including just enjoying and reliving memories of past travels. Another reason I've learned is that I sometimes don't notice how good some image I've captured were at the time. That's the story behind posting this image. With a little bit extra work in Capture NX2 and exporting a TIFF image to Color Efex Pro 4, I was able to do some work and bring out a more complete final image that also included a polarized look to the mountains. setting.
