Fa un parell d'anys vaig trobar aqueta piloteta de ping-pong i la vaig guardar sense saber molt bé per a què (no practique aquest deport). Hui, per fi, li he donat una utilitat :-)
Two years ago I found this ping-pong ball and I kept it without a cause (I don't play ping-pong). Today, at last, I have found an utility for the ball :-)
Ruth and I had the absolute pleasure of attending the wedding of Warren and Ping yesterday (20th September 2008). If ever there was a fairytale romance and wedding, this would have to be it.
I love this photo of them... but it's times like these I wish I could afford to upgrade my camera! My poor old Kodak P850 has served me well, and it's great for many settings, but it struggles in low light settings such as this one. It's only capable of a maximum of 400 ISO, and it's light metering and response times are just not quite up to it. It's also got a smaller lens (diameter) than more professional cameras, which restricts what I can do with Depth of Field and low light. If the camera had been more responsive, I reckon this shot would have been awesome.
Ngong Ping Cable Car is a 5.7 km long bi-cable gondola lift system (referred to by its operators as a "cable car") linking between Tung Chung (where it connects the MTR Tung Chung station) and Ngong Ping (where the Po Lin Monastery and Tian Tan Buddha are located). Between the two terminals at Tung Chung and Ngong Ping, the lift system runs across the southern shore of the Hong Kong International Airport island and Nei Lak Shan, with eight towers including the stations.
