I love the long, slow departure from Chicago as we leave the city aboard Amtrak. This view of Ping Tom Park as we cross the South Branch of the Chicago River absolutely blows my mind.
I made about six shots through the train window as we passed this scene and all included the water's magical purple and green sheen.
For this shot I had the camera tripod mounted. I pressed the shutter release button right as I dropped the ping pong ball on to the table. I think 1/2 of a second gives the right amount of blurring.

Ping Pong was also available to play. Not a lot of finesse in this game. It was smash the ball as hard as you can.
We had an unbelievable 10 hour break in between our two games. The boys were invited (by a player's relative) out to their property to have lunch, swim, and fish.
They had a wonderful time. A couple had never been fishing before so it was quite the experience for them.
