The owner put the hood down so I could get a front view of his modified truck that I saw in Peebles, Ohio at the Old Timers' Day show.

Some sort of restoration going on. Seen in the same yard as the Toyota Pickup.

Builder Gary Corns put together this radical 1939 Plymouth pickup truck with a Jacobs 757 c.i.d. 7 cylinder radial airplane engine.

The propeller shaft is connected to a 3-inch blower cogged pulley & belt setup that connects to a Casale (boat)V-drive. A custom driveshaft heads back from the bottom of the V-drive flange to the front of a GM Turbo 400 transmission, where a one off assembly made up up of Chevelle & Ford pinion and various other bearings and stuff spins a12in. torque convertor, that delivers the power back to a Franklin quick-change rear end. Gary used a lot of parts from his wrecking yard and worked his fabrication black magic….and VOILA , you got one Wicked ryde.

This pickup was on the street at Depot Town in Ypsilanti, Michigan during the 2008 Orphan Car Show at nearby Riverside Park.

I photographed this Ford pickup at the ice cream social at Bethel Church near Manchester, Michigan on June 26.

Looks like a daily driver, and I'll bet it resides on a gravel road.

No, it's not a barn find as it was really never lost. This is the 1940 Ford pickup that has been in the family since March 1972 and has been dormant for 25 years. It has been quietly awaiting the time when it can be brought back to the condition it deserves to be in.

I spotted the 60+-year-old pickup in the historic area of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Curbside pickup and home delivery are nothing new, but COVID-19 has increased their use enormously. We have been using Kroger grocery pickup since March. Before the pandemic, we always did our grocery shopping.

I don't know a lot about pickup campers but I do know the name Lance. They've been building these since 1965 so they probably have them figured out by now. This one is a doozy and has a slide-out on the other side, also a generator and full kitchen. This one is mounted on a Ford F-350 truck and they want $9500 for just the camper.

i just really like this pickup
