While we were in town for lunch, we saw this redneck pickup truck parked at a fast food joint.
I always look for redneck pickups. Rednecks proudly drive trucks that don't qualify for a neatness award. They don't have to have trash in the back, oil running out from underneath, scratches, and dents . . . but it helps.
An interesting custom pickup seen recently at a car show... A Monarch (Canadian Mercury) passenger car converted into a pickup with a Mercury Pickup box on the back (yes they also sold Mercury Pickups in Canada too)
Apologies for the crappy photos of it, it was all I was able to get but an interesting enough truck to post, if I ever see it in the future I will rectify that and try to get a much better photo...

This truck camper top had this bathroom with a mini shower and ahs a slide. Lots of room above the cab to sleep.

Finally made the Varsity Tuesday Night Cruise-in this week. Jimmy was there with ProMater, his notorious 2nd generation 55 Chevy pickup. This one has seen several Hot Rod Power Tours.
A beautiful red '35 Ford Pickup at the 2010 Eagle Field Hot Rod Reunion and Drag Races. This little beauty made some runs down the strip, too!
On display was this rare 1930 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup Hot Rod.

A 1940s Dodge Pickup cruises north on Huron Avenue in downtown Port Huron, MI. With a pleasant summers day upon the city, people were riding their motorcycles through the breeze, breaking out the classic cars, and the riverwalk was dotted with lines of happy people watching the ships weaving through the St. Clair River. I shot this while driving south on Huron Ave., so I was pleasantly surprised to see it turned out alright!

Not strictly in the right catagory here the subaru 1800 pickup was an excellent work horse to be found on many farms in the uk in the 80,s - 90,s powered by a 1800 petrol engine and as reliable as a an old sheep dog. The pickup is based on the subaru leone a predecessor to the impreza. The faults were low ground clearance and petrol engine along with in time the dreaded rot.
This model belongs to a local farmer who uses it for gamekeeping duties and says its does more mpg than heavier 4x4's. The light weight stops it getting bogged down and the low height means it can traverse hills at ease without slipping . Shes just got through another mot main problem being rust and availability or lack of parts another local farmer donored the off side wing.
