On Nov. 14, 2018, physics alumni and faculty gathered in New York for an evening of dinner, networking and to hear about the growth and success of the Department of Physics.

Featuring more than 30 experts from Jefferson Lab, NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton and Newport News Shipbuilding, the event exposed Hampton Roads high schoolers and their teachers to the vast array of engineering and related disciplines — mechanical, chemical, aerospace, nuclear, electrical, to name a few. It also tested students’ wits with hands-on design and engineering challenges based on each facility’s mission.
The event is a celebration of National Engineers Week and is sponsored by the Peninsula Engineers Council (PEC).

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I was gone all weekend relaxing up at my grandpap's house in Challenge, CA. we had a blast, a little too much fun actually. I will be posting some shots from there later on.
Tomorrow I leave at around 12 to go shoot for a deal with XXL magazine (hip-hop magazine). An up and coming artist has hired me to get some shots for his BIO in the XXL . Wish me luck.

One of of the last days of my senior year of high school, my physics class went outside and we played baseball. It was supposed to be to observe how physics is involved... but we forgot all about it and just had a good time.

Reflecting Sears

This picture shows the basic properties of the reflection of light rays. When light rays hit a medium (such as a mirror) they bounce off and enter the eye, producing a second image. As above, when light is reflected from a smooth surface, the result is specular reflection.The rays coming directly from the top of the building and the sun are called incident rays and the rays that are reflected to the eye to form the image are the result of the reflected rays. With specular reflection, the incident light rays coming from the building and sun bounce off the flat plane of the Sears Tower as reflected rays at an angle that is equal to the angle of the incoming incident light rays. Flat plane mirrors form virtual images that are the same size as the actual object. Along the windows of the Sears Tower that are acting like flat plane mirrors, you can see the images the reflected light rays from the sun and also the top of the neighboring building form.
