In this picture the dancer’s legs seem to appear to be inside the car, but the image is located in front of the car. This mirror is sometimes called a diverging mirror, because after reflection the light rays diverging making it seem like the light rays are coming from a point located behind the mirror. The three principle light rays travel from the image and form a virtual image behind the mirror, which cause the illusion that the image is located with the side of the car. The image is virtual, upright and is smaller.
