This is what I did today. We're having a pretty important physics test tomorrow and Victoria, Augusta and me spent a little over four hours studying for it.

Abdel Adjibade leads a lab during a Physics class in the Physical Sciences building on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois on September 10, 2020. During the lab, students learned how to utilize an iOLab device which will allow EIU physics students to continue conducting experiments from home in order to avoid in-person contact. (Jay Grabiec)
Quadrotor Flight Controller class at the HiTech STEM Lab at the East Columbia Branch of the HCLS. The purpose of the class is to introduce students to quadcopters through hand-on learning. The studets investigated the physics behind multirotor liftoff, stabilization, direction of flight, and landing the aircraft. Students worked in teams to assemble the
propulsion system and wire the flight controller and power system. Students honed their flight skills through a flight simulator before flight testing their builds in the final class.

McGill University's physics building - named after Rutherford, the person to conduct the famous gold leaf experiment (?).
He conducted his research at McGill...at some point.
Here is the experimental setup. The two boxes with the green light are the power supplies. The pink-orange sphere is a glass sphere with a beam of electrons in it.
Worked with Andre Gaudin (www.flickr.com/photos/agaudin/)
School has started again, with all its excitements, new students, and piles and piles of grading...its all good, I'm grateful. I won't be able to visit your streams as often, so please forgive it...
I teach H.S. physics (college prep and honors), environmental science (college prep and honors) and one sweet lower level general science class. This is my first year with honors classes, and I will be busy with new textbooks, materials, etc. For sure I'll be smarter when this year is done! ;)

In PH-10something at Michigan Tech, we used black and white polaroid cameras mounted in the cubicle walls and a strobe light to capture images of moving objects.
The instructor was a dick, and was constantly complaining about kids screwing up film and wasting it because it was expensive.
I never screwed up pictures, but got yelled at for it anyway one day when he needed a scapegoat target.
For every class after that, I intended to get the most out of my lab fee, which covered expenses like film for this lab class, which included expressing how i felt about being chewed out for not doing anything wrong. If I was going to get in trouble, there was at least going to be picture proof that I did something i shouldn't have been doing.
Hence, the last two pictures. Here's to you, physics jerk.
