Phantom II RF-4C from 1st Tactical Recon Sq. RAF Alconbury

I have just found these in my CSE English Project "Modern Aviation" that I did in 1968/9

We visited the Pima Air and Space Museum on January 17, 2011.
"80 acres and 300 aircraft" doesn't begin to describe the depth of the collections. Wandering around for 4 hours and still not seeing it all does a little better.

This large cutout grotto behind Phantom Falls, was created from several years of the waterfall being here! The water has eroded away at the rock creating this large grotto! It looks just like the kind of place, where an Indian cliff dwelling would be!
A close-up of a miniature replica of my head; taken with a makeshift "double-lens reverse macro", in which I attached two 50mm f1.8 lenses face to face.

Press Release:
«Phantom» remakes the Fourth Plinth of Trafalgar Square in a quiet back street in Bermondsey. This scale replica of the famous fourth plinth is built to coincide with the announcement of the next winners of the prestigious London contemporary art commission. The Neo-Victorian monument stands incongruously between industrial warehouses and a high tech' academy school in inner South London.
Amidst the fanfare surrounding the announcement of the commissions' next winners it is easy to forget that this year sees huge reductions in funding for public services, local authorities and arts organizations. This plinth, de-centered from the tourist hub, reminds us that while high profile sites like the fourth plinth persist, the funding for arts and for local authorities will diminish significantly. In an area struggling to shake off the hangover of its post-industrial decay this Victorian replica displaces the emptiness of political rhetoric into the real of urbanism.
«Phantom» echoes the simplicity of Mark Wallinger's «Ecce Homo», the formal lucidity of Rachel Whiteread's «Monument»; and the political bite of Jeremy Deller's unrealized «Spoils of War»; it mines the surreal, interactive, reality-television quality of Anthony Gormleys «One and Other»; and like Elmgreen & Dragset's «Powerless Structures Fig 101.» it uses humor to question this authoritarian strain of public architecture.
The displaced plinth may yet serve as a viable alternative forum for future art commissions if Boris Johnson makes good his election promise to replace this important platform for contemporary art with a stout bronze immortalizing a military hero or the latest expired monarch.

Christopher Reeve, the Phantom Zone is presented as a large, flat shard of crystal. Susannah York (Lara) refers to the Phantom Zone by name in Superman II when she first makes the revelation about the Three Villains. In DVD commentary, Director Richard Donner refers to as "the Zone of Silence.") General Zod and his co-conspirators Ursa and Non appear to be transferred to a two-dimensional space on the crystal's surface. The crystal is then flung into space.
Phantom Ship is the smaller of two islands in Crater Lake. The Wikipedia article on this island states that seven trees are established on it, but there are actually considerably more. I wonder if the younger trees are progeny of the older trees or sprouted from seeds blown in the extensive forests around the lake. It's tallest spires are about 170 feet tall.
The very beginning of the Phantom dance. Love the symmetry and the black on red. Difficult to call this a B shot for 132.
Meta-art Thomasons are usually what one might call "achitectural je m'en fous"––architectural elements that once had, but lost its meaning due to neglect or oversight. So these severed tree branches and trunks entangled in fences, wires, and other artificial structures––being primarily a natural phenomenon––don't quite fit the definition of a Thomason. But because of their visual peculiarity in the urban landscape, are one of the favorite type of Thomasons collected :-)

Some stills I grabbed from the footage I shot of lightning over Coral Springs, Florida with my Phantom 3 quadcopter.
Nice day out with Fester the beetle. We drove about an hour north on the M9 to Blackford where the Phantoms hot rod club were holding their annual show.
Great show, great cars and friendly people. What more do you need?

History of the RF-4C "Phantom II"
Developed in 1963, alongside the F-4C, the RF-4C added a larger nose section with windows facing forward, downward, and to both sides of the fuselage to accommodate its radar and aerial cameras for combat reconnaissance missions during the Vietnam War. When production ended in 1973, the RF-4Cs had been delivered all around the world for service.
The RF-4C "Phantom II" at Hill Air Force Base
In 1962, the Ogden Air Materiel Area was designated as the System Support Manager for the U.S. Air Force's new F-4 aircraft, which included support to allied countries for this airframe in the following decades. By 1966, Hill Air Force Base maintenance shops received the first RF-4C. The RF-4C on display was manufactured in 1967 and served on several bases within the United States, occasionally coming to Hill Air Force Base for maintenance and modification. In 1991, it was permanently assigned to the 514th Test Squadron at Ogden Air Logistics Center and was acquired by Hill Aerospace Museum three years later for display.
Interesting Fact
This aircraft is painted to commemorate Ogden Air Logistics Center's twenty-nine year Programmed Depot Maintenance project for the F-4, which ended on August 1, 1994.

At last, found a reason to process one more picture taken during the Seattle flickrites meetup at the fishermen's terminal docks.
I am trying to mix and match my picture upload here so that I don't upload all my portraits/flowers/HDRs at one shot.
EXIF: f/32.0, 46 mm, ISO 100. HDR made from 5 manual shots modifying shutter speeds to attain exposure values of -2 thro' +2.
Oh, I've a whole bunch of flowers and portraits that should find their place here soon.
