This Suzuki Vitara has reached the end of its working life.
It is sitting just outside the Municipal Vehicle Depot in La Linea, Southern Spain.
I felt the Vitara was rushed into production (and it shows) after sales of the SJ series were badly hit by the roll-over scare in the late 1980s. The Vitara was introduced in 1988.

American Commerce 1776
In 1607, the first permanent English colony in the Americas was founded in Jamestown as a private economic venture. The Virginia colony was a privately funded economic venture established to grow and export tobacco to Europe.
By 1776, all thirteen English colonies had a vigorous mercantile trade in sugar, rice, tobacco, beaver skins, and a wide variety of goods and services. English colonial transactions were denominated in local units of pounds, shillings, and pence. Commercial payments included short-term book credit, payment in commodities, paper money or bills of credit, and specie coins including English coins, foreign gold and silver coins of Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, France, and Germany.
This Historical Replica set includes double side examples of domestic and foreign coins struck in 1776, the first year of the American Revolution and birth of the United States of America.
Pine Tree Penny of 1776.
Other than it was engraved by Paul Revere, little is known about the origin of the copper Pine Tree pattern cent dated 1776. The obverse has a crude pine tree with the inscription Id LM. The reverse shows the goddess of Liberty, seated on a globe holding a liberty cap and staff with a dog at her feet. The legend, Liberty And Virtue surrounds the figure.
Continental Dollar 1776
The Continental Dollar was intended to be redeemed for the Continental paper currency issued and distributed to finance the Revolutionary War. Shortage of silver forced coinage in brass and pewter, giving rise to the expression, “not worth a Continental”. The obverse shows a dial, a median sun, the word Fugio (time flies), and “Mind Your Business”, words credited to Ben Franklin. On the reverse, thirteen linked circles representing the original states, ring the words, “We are One.”
Spanish Silver 2 Bit and 8 Real Bust Dollar of 1776
The Spanish silver dollar was “the premier coin of the Atlantic world of the 17 and 18 century.” The Spanish silver dollar was frequently cut in half (4-bits), quarters (2-bits) and halved again to make small change.
The 8 Real Silver Bust Dollar of 1776 bears the portrait of Carlos III (1759-1788) and legend Dei Gratia (by the Grace of God). The reverse shows the Pillars of Hercules, gates to the new world. Ribbons are inscribed with Plus Ultra (more beyond) and inscription Hispan et Ind. Rex (King of Spain and the Indies), crowned shield bearing the towers of Castile and rampant Lions of Leon.
New Hampshire Pattern Halfpenny 1776
New Hampshire was the first state to establish coinage following the Declaration of Independence. William Moulton (WM) made a limited number of cast copper pieces. Obverse; Tree on straight ground. Reverse shows the initials WH.
All coin reproductions are made of lead free pewter and have COPY stuck on the reverse in accordance with the Hobby Protection Act.

A permanent fixture under the grand live oaks by the North Charleston Coliseum is now home to the Wall of Service for the City of North Charleston. The monument recognizes all current and past elected officials for their public service to the citizens of North Charleston and features busts of past mayor John Bourne and current mayor Keith Summey.
In addition, the grounds and facilities of the North Charleston Coliseum, Charleston Area Convention Center, and the North Charleston Performing Arts Center will be renamed to the Bourne-Summey City Center Complex. The renaming honors Mayor Summey and Bourne who have served in North Charleston’s top elected role for a combined 41 of the 43 years of the City’s incorporation.

During Mass with Bishop David Walkowiak on Sunday, Nov. 4 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, ten men of our diocese were admitted to candidacy for the permanent diaconate. This was the first formal step along their path to becoming deacons for the Church. Family and friends, deacons and concelebrating priests were also present for the celebration.

The Peoples Summit 'Linking Alternatives 4' is an alternative meeting to the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean taking place in Madrid from 14 to 18 May 2010. The Biregional network Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, which organizes Linking Alternatives, comprises civil society representatives from those regions in a space for action and reflection that seeks to contribute to building 'another world'.
The agenda of Linking Alternatives 4 does not only cover trade issues, but it also includes a wide range of issues such as militarization, human rights, water, food sovereignty, migrations, climate change, etc.. The Permanent Peoples' Tribunal, an opinion tribunal which aims to give visibility to social movements and citizens’ struggles against human rights violations, will focus on the complicity of the European Union (EU) with the abuses of transnational corporations (TNCs) and denounce the impunity of European TNCs and their impacts on peoples’ rights.

Warner Bros. Studios Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter is a public attraction in Leavesden in southeastern England. It is a permanent behind the scenes exhibit of the Harry Potter films.
The Studio Tour, opened to the public in early 2012. The grand opening event was attended by many of the Harry Potter film series cast and crew members.
Each tour session typically lasting three hours, the studio tour has the capacity to handle 6,000 visitors daily. Despite Warner Bros. being the studio behind Harry Potter, the tour is styled as a theme park, due to the fact that Warner Bros. sold the licence to do so to both Warner Bros. and Universal Studios.
Though the standard tour is self-guided, various guided tours are available at an additional cost.
It only includes sets, props and costumes that were actually created for or used in the production of the Harry Potter film series.
Almost twenty years after the complex was converted from aerodrome to film studios—and over a year since the completion of work on the newly refurbished studios—the site was officially opened by the Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge on 26 April 2013. On their visit, they were accompanied by the Duke's brother Prince Harry and J. K. Rowling (who had been unable to attend the tour's grand opening the year before), amongst other guests. Several hundred beneficiaries of supported charities were given invitations to the Studio Tour on the day of the visit. The royal entourage visited both the tour and the studios, viewing the props and costumes from Christopher Nolan's Batman films, before conducting the site's inauguration.
