What: Opening session of the 30th Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC)
When: Sunday 7 June 2015, at 10:00
Where: OR Tambo Building, South Africa
Why: The PRC will discuss items on the agenda in preparation for the 25th AU Summit. Their decisions will be submitted to the Executive Council for further consideration and/ or adoption. The opening session of the PRC will include among others, a speech by the Chair of the PRC, Ambassador Albert R. Chimbindi, and a welcome remark by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, followed by a group photo of Ambassadors with Commission Members. The theme for the AU summits this year is “Year of Women’s Empowerment and Development towards Africa’s Agenda 2063”.
Who: The meeting will be attended by members of the Permanent Representatives Committee, who are their countries’ permanent representatives to the African Union as well as other Plenipotentiaries of member states. The PRC is charged with the responsibility of preparing the work of the Executive Council and acting on the Executive Council’s instructions.
Media personnel are invited to cover the official opening ceremony starting at 10:00.

Permanent, non biodegradable, plastic pollution is damaging the environment nd poisoning the sea. There are a floating plastic rubbish dumps in the sea and plastic bags in space. It is killing hundreds of thousands of animals every year – that’s everything from livestock who accidentally ingest it when rummaging for scraps and sea birds who feed it to their young. It costs a fortune in clear up costs and it looks awful. All this so we can have a new bag every time we go shopping. During Mass with Bishop David Walkowiak on Sunday, Nov. 4 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, ten men of our diocese were admitted to candidacy for the permanent diaconate. This was the first formal step along their path to becoming deacons for the Church. Family and friends, deacons and concelebrating priests were also present for the celebration.
Congratulations to the following men accepted as candidates for the diaconate, their wives and families!

This layout is to showcase my brother's memorial tattoo in memory of his son (my nephew) and in memory of my baby girls (his nieces). My brother lost his son Isaac in 1993 and had the cross and heart with Isaac's initials a date tattooed. Later after I had lost both my baby girls in 2006 and 2008, my brother had gone back and had two more hearts added in with my girls intials and dates... one for Ava Noel and one for Amelia GraceAnn!
This is probably one of the most selfless gestures of love that a brother can do... I still am beyond touched and I think it looks just lovely! Thanks for letting me share!

A shot I took during Doors Open in the Canada Permanent Building. This building has beautiful Art Deco elevator doors. This one shows a mythological figure hodling a cornucopia and a model of the building.
