Perhaps I should say Great Grandparent's letter scales. It belonged to George Jefferson and Jessie Kate Brown, my mother's parents. See www.flickr.com/photos/fishchap/5330698856/in/set-72157625...

I would love to get back here and do some ambient light night shots again, and be able to spend more than a couple hours inside. It's one very awesome place in the the true sense of the word as awe inspiring. The place deserves is defiantly like no other. Much thanks goes out to the people of E.S.A.P.I. for letting me see the place.
Perhaps love is like a window, perhaps an open door.
It invites you to come closer, it wants to show you more.
And even if you lose yourself and don't know what to do.
The memory of love will see you through.
Oh love to some is like a cloud, to some as strong as steel.
For some a way of living, for some a way to feel.
And some say love is holding on, and some say letting go.
And some say love is everything, some say they don't know.
Perhaps love is like the ocean, full of conflict, full of pain.
Like a fire when it's cold outside, thunder when it rains.
If I should live forever, and all my dreams come true.
My memories of love will be of you.

Perhaps a little underexposed, but the off-camera flash definitely helps to lift the overcast sky light.
Perhaps the barn owl is taking advantage of the goats eating all the vegetation. The little rodents now have no place to hide. Easy pickings for a raptor.
Jade has probably seen more herp species than almost any other girl her age. How many 7 year olds have encountered a wild Kirtland's snake?!
Perhaps something of a cliché but once in a while apparently it is fun to go along with the clichés
Perhaps not the best photograph i have ever taken but with redaction (for security reasons) i quite like it anyways.
Perhaps the Greenhouse ("Reenhouse")should be relocated to the Gwent Levels with its many reens. Has someone objected to the fact that this traditionally green lime washed pub was painted white several years ago?
The buds on the left were seen one day then a couple of days later we went back & took the photo on the right. When I first saw them I thought they were dead flower heads!
They were in a cleared patch in bush where there is clay soil on the foothills of the Darling Range.
I felt the petals and they were papery like everlastings. approx 1.5 to 2 cm across.

This drawing was inspired by Stella's favorite jigsaw puzzle, which features three princesses: Cinderella, Beauty and Snow White. Stella says that she is Cinderella, Bridget is Sleeping Beauty and Bridget's friend Mair is Snow White.
This marquee was on an empty building on main street in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Looks like it may have been an old theatre at one time, but I can't be sure.
From a walk starting at Wye Dale car park on the A6. Up past Topley Pike quarry and through Marl Dale onto the plateau and across to Chelmorton.
Back via Horseshoe Dale and Deep Dale.
This old tree branch is doing a good impression of something from the dawn of time!
These are perhaps one of my most favorite animals ever. I spent a lot of time over break brainstorming a new series of projects. What I want to achieve is pretty ambitious, so I need ot do a series of drawing exercises first. Here's one of them.
Fur, as it turns out, is pretty hard to render in watercolor but I'm starting to get it, thanks to my pen nib. I'm particularly proud of the "soft" fur on the face.

Perhaps Australia’s most famous and loved bird – the kookaburra is a member of the Kingfisher family.
The Laughing Kookaburra, Dacelo novaeguineae, is an Australian carnivorous bird in the Kingfisher family. This species of kookaburra is well known for its amazing laughing call. Whole families will sing their call each morning and evening – a very famous sound of the Australian bush. They are territorial and will defend their territory from invaders.
Pound Bend, Warrandyte has a large population of these amazing birds - all seemingly want to eat my lunch!

There are over 350 species of eucalyptus. I'm not certain of the species, but the flowers and cones look like robusta.
Hmm, This is a random guy i made in my game today... I'm not sure if he's honestly hot or if i'm just crazy. Since he's Italian, I wrote 'is he hot? cause I personally think so.' in Italian. =) *I'm a dork, what can I say?*
These tumbling flower beetles were crawling over leaves, flying, and landing again at Horton Grove Reserve in Durham County, North Carolina on 6 June 2020. This sure looked to me like lekking (courtship/mating) behavior. It was hard to keep track of individuals, so these images are combined for an iNaturalist observation. Identifying members of this family is difficult, but the pattern on these looked distinctive--these appear to be:
Falsomordellistena pubescens (3-4 mm)
