Boy trying to do something. Because of the frame, I could not actually say what he was upto. :-)

This should be the photograph Becky uses for her book.

First shots with the new camera. Gotta figure it out.

the greatest ripoff ever attempted

A combination of hot wire cutter and chain saw were used to carve the shape of the vase. The hot wire cutter proved to be very slow but left hardly any mess; the chainsaw on the other hand was fast but extremely messy.

Ennominae

I've only seen one of these before, about 10 years ago. They seemed to be having a laugh trying to get it to go in the virtually non-existent wind.

Perhaps one of you may be able to give these a name - Tea roses - perhaps ?Kevin

Perhaps I should try harder and do better. This isn't so bad since I just homed in on the bumble bee from inside my study window. There's a common or garden fly there too.

A certain amount of amusement may be derived from looking at original size.

Perhaps one day these things will be pleasing to remember.

Snow from last Week on Adox 50 Film.

Perhaps another bad decision, I paired the Adox 50 B/W film with a slow, pretty "average" lens. Not stopped down, it's quite soft. So I coudn't take advantage of the sharpness and high resolution of the film, really. What remains, though, is it's nice tones. The snow comes out pretty nice, I think. And yet another toning-experiment I'm not so sure about. I think next time (when ever this will be!) I'd better use this film with a fast prime again, not that I don't like this look, but possibly it's a bit of a waste.

I'm sure Martin would be happy to share his paneer vindaloo with you.
