My daughter sang this last week for her music assessment at school. I hope you enjoy it!
Sorry I've been offline for a little while. I had to go to hospital for some emergency surgery a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully I'm fully recovered now and just started back at work.

I decided that I ought to reshoot some of my old barns in Lyons, Colorado, terminous of the RR route that I have been shooting and not far from one of the quarry branches there. It is probably on Reese Street above Main. I found many of the old structures are gone but I was rewarded with this. Undoubtedly, performance art. And I "shutter" to imagine how I might get my fingers to fit on the frets. I fantasize that the O and the M, on the left, are for a famous area banjo maker of great skill. The rail line was an extension of the Denver, Longmont and Northwestern narrow gauge built by the Denver, Utah & Pacific. There were two quarry branches and the remaining cement plant spurs at Lyons. It is now operated by the Burlington and Sante Fe, the original Burlington & Missouri River to Longmont.
The canyons uphill from Lyons are on the way to Estes and are a choice of bad and much worse grades. I read an article about rail service to Estes Park; that is just preposterous. A grade that saw rails was the Denver, Boulder & Western to Ward, Colorado. It terminated just north of town. It was known as the "Switzerland Trail." It probably seldom turned a profit.
The original performance space for the Asolo Repertory Theatre was housed in a historic theatre that was initially located in Asolo, Italy just outside of Venice. Built in 1798 by Italian impresario Antonio Locatelli, the theatre stood in the former audience hall of the castle of Caterina Cornaro, the former Queen of Cyprus. The horse-shoe shaped theatre contains four tiers of boxes and was modeled after La Fenice. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries the building was the home theatre of the great Italian actress Eleonora Duse.[2]
In 1930, the Asolo Theatre was dismantled and put into storage. In 1949 the museum director of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art learned of the theatre's existence and saw the theatre as an ideal acquisition for the museum. The State of Florida agreed and purchased the theatre which was crated and shipped to Sarasota, Florida. In 1952 the theatre was set up in a gallery in the Ringling museum. In the late 1950s it was decided that the theatre should be reconstructed so that modern theatre performances could be staged. The reconstructed theatre therefore incorporates the historic architecture into a building that is modern in design.[2]
The Asolo Theatre opened its doors on January 10, 1958 with a production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Presented by the New York City Opera, the production was directed and conducted by Julius Rudel. The opera starred Robert Rounseville as Belmonte, Beverly Bower as Konstanze, Herbert Beattle as Osmin, and Jacquelynne Moody as Blonde.
The theatre has since been moved to another location on the Ringling grounds and is now known as The Historic Asolo Theatre. The Asolo Repertory Company still puts on a few productions there each year, but it is no longer its primary location. Most shows for the Rep Company are performed at the Mertz Theatre, which is housed in the Florida State University Center for the Performing Arts, which is across the street.

Me di cuenta de que el elemento con el color más vivo era la comida. El momento preciso de una comida rápida y un tiro tan fugaz como el almuerzo.
I noticed that the elements with the most vivid color were the food. The precise timing of a quick meal and a fleeting shot as fast ad the lunch.

Robert Wagner Park, New York City

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual outdoor Battery Dance Festival went virtual this year, like so many other performances.
So there was no live festival and most of the international dance companies that participated did so via video.
But NYC let the Festival film a handful of the performers live, albeit in the very early morning, as a way to discourage curious onlookers. These are some of the companies that participated; but this necessarily is a very small sampling.
