The GIMP Project premiered at the Abrons Arts Center in NYC, March 19-21.
After seeing many previews and excerpts as the company and project grew, I saw the full piece on March 20th, and was able to photograph some (but sadly, not all) of the performances, which were amazing!
GIMP is going on tour, so see it if you can. You won't regret it.

Biography: Faith «struggles insanely, if you will, for the possibility» as «without possibility, it is as though a person cannot draw breath» (Sören Kierkegaard, The Sickness Unto Death) Such is the existential struggle: believing despite inevitable loss and despite the impossibility of any help. Believing is what prevents from perishing. Drawing from the themes of faith and belief, the performance Endiosada (literally entrusted by God) explores freely the points of contact between life devoted to the permanent quest for help and transcendence.

Copenhagen is invaded by 100 dancers from all over the world. In streets, squares, under bridges and out on the water, you suddenly bump into a colourful crowd.

Rehearsals for the Ann Arbor Dance Classics 2022 Recital on Saturday June 18th, 2022. Performances were held on Friday June 17th and Saturday June 18th at Saline High School (Saline, Michigan). There were two performances on each day. The students and teachers all wore face masks during rehearsals as a precaution against COVID-19, but were not wearing them for the performance.

The festivities continue with the Graduates versus SB basketball game, which started with a special surprise - a skating show by our younger students! Later in the evening were more performances with the ASTEP volunteers to conclude Day 2! #SBGrad2019

Another shot chosen primarily based on subject. I also like the girls in the background with similar faces, all looking away. The lighting is my flash, and the stadium lighting.
I had to do some sharpening, because the dancers were in the middle of the field and I was on the sidelines. I also lightened her eyes because of her heavy makeup.

The Culminating Summer Recital is a celebration of the end of our summer classes, Here all the students who enrolled in SFAMSC's summer workshops (from Arts and Crafts to Piano) show off what they learned to their parents and guardians in a fun and colorful performance!
