i realized after taking this that they needed the crotch* taken in, too, so they fit better now. not so low.
*i'm sure there's a classy tailoring word for that, but i don't know it.
In the distance is Loughborough's Carillon Tower & War Memorial was built after WW1 to commemorate the men of the town who gave their lives. Unique in Britain, it is the only purpose built carillon tower.
Carillion is defined as "a set of stationary bells hung in a tower and sounded by manual or pedal action, or by machinery."
(pca150) WIT: I was playing with a new lens (Nikkor 18-200 - fabulous! So convenient for upcoming travels, light and quiet) when there was a brief rain shower. I took lots of shots in the garden because the wet foliage looks great in B&W. Then I saw the clothes line. I know it's a cliche, but the refraction in the drops of the house's weatherboards in this shot clinched it.
This is pretty well untouched - I am a little bit distracted by the uneven boards in the bottom of the shot but I didn't want to fiddle about with it and risk introducing noise and artefacts.
This is an old photo i took on a REALLY OLD compact its horrible quality the camera was only a 3.2mp.
We live 10 miles outside of Waterville and we are blessed with some awesome sunsets, sunrises and full moons. This was taken Nov. 3 and was one of those moments when my husband said, "Peg, get a load of that moon." I ran and grabbed my camera as I know it can change so quickly. This was taken with a Nikon D3200 with an AF-28-300 mm lens.
2 purple pegs. Remains of the polinated flower are seen on the shorter peg. Read more about peanuts and boiled peanuts here.
