Powder green Swarovski crystal pearls (a muted pearlescent sage colour) hang from sterling silver curb chain and earwires. These dangly earrings would be perfect for a wedding or formal occasion, and would add a touch of style to any outfit.

The whole earring dangles a little over 1 3/4 inch (4.5cm). The sterling silver headpins are tarnish resistant and will not stain the pearls over time.

I loved doing this page in my recycled tape journal. I used pearlescent rub on ink to create the background and then a variety of glaze pens and galaxy markers. It gave me an opportunity to practice a few different styles of decorative lettering. A lot of my journaling has a serious healing undertone so I was happy to be playful with this page. When you read the journaling, it makes sense. A very famous queen of all things home has this list on her website of how to stay stress free during the holidays: Strategize gift wrapping, think small for decor, tackle to-do's in good company, update address book, keep universal tokens on hand, make space in advance, tend the bar, tip smartly, fly lightly, buy baking staples, remember to unwind, draw up a budget and gift list before going shopping, master a basic cookie dough, create a plan for holiday entertaining, and postpone festivities. REALLY? I have to do all that to stay stress free??? I'm getting stressed just thinking about it. I think I'll stick to my own plan! :)

Quick little bookbinding with a soft cardboard cover and some lovley yellow and white gradated thread. The card stock is the same for the signatures and cover and is a pretty cream pearlescent.

This 1935-1938 Parker Vacumatic fountain pen, possibly the "Slender" model, in laminated green emerald DuPont pearlescent celluloid, was a gift from Peter Beck, restored per advice by the Fountain Pen Shop's Fred P. Krinke. Stuart Hawkinson replaced the missing "jewel": the laminated celluloid cone secured by the metal "tassie ring" at the end of the barrel. I went to Greg Minuskin to re-tip the broken nib, which is a specialty of his, but ended up asking him to also take the next step, overall restoration. Three days later he emailed a summary: "New diaphragm installed in your Parker Vacumatic, light polish up to the cap and barrel, and the all important retip is now done to factory looking spec’s. Even re-plated your nib for you in the correct two tone pattern, no extra charge!"
