In the early afternoon, vendors were setting up by the temples in the Bhaktapur durbar square. This woman had brought peanuts from the countryside and quickly sold out to people coming to the square to buy things before the holiday.

From the description for "Trash," the April 5th theme in the Macro Mondays group: "One of the key features of macro photography is the ability to present the familiar in an unfamiliar way, to inspect and find the beauty of things in a different light."

I was struck by the patterns created by a serrated dinner knife on the inside of an empty plastic peanut butter jar from my recycle bin. Shot on a Canon 6DM2, with a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro 1:1 lens and a Raynox 250. Postedited in Photoshop. (Press "L" to view on black, "L" again to exit.)

Sincerest apologies for my inactivity lately! I really don't have a proper reason such as 'busy with school' etc -- it was simply laziness, haha! Here's a Peapic from already over a month ago, oops..

I've btw refreshed my dolls' looks a bit! Inès got new eyes, Cherie got new eyes and a wig & Mallory is currently wearing Cheries old wig (the pink one), so I'll try to show you the changes asap!

Oh, and also, I have a doll -instagram! I've had one for about 1,5 years now actually, but I realised I've never really mentioned it here on flickr, so if you're interested, it's @squirrellicious! Don't expect to see any quality stuff there though, I basically just spam random quick phonepics of my girls there .. ^^

Ravens are amazingly smart. As we watched, this raven hid the peanut by removing stones, dropping in the peanut, and covering it with the stones. The other raven, who didn't seem to be paying attention to his roommate, soon uncovered the peanut again, by removing stones, one by one.

Really, I wanted to make my delicious peanut-butter pie, but I ran out of energy. Riley was watching me set up this photo and thought it was much more fun! Have a fun weekend. 😃

Food photography project continues. Working with what I have at home. Thankfully, I had some fancy bread to play with for this shot. Not sure how inspired this is but it's good to be shooting again :)

Peanut Envy this little fellow had to examine this peanut carefully before he decided to eat it, shot in North Carolina.

I call this wood mouse Peanut as it loves them and peanut butter. It is in a teapot here that I hung up in the hope birds might have nested in it but they didn't so I put seed in it now and of course the mice have found it

Simple pleasures. A squirrel happily finds a peanut someone left on the trail, as it readies for winter.

Nothing like gag in the mouth, stick in the throat peanut butter. yummmmmm!!

It's hard to say what kept grabbing this sandhill crane's attention.

A peanut just can't be beat!

A couple of years ago, there was a show on the Travel Channel (I think) all about Peanut Shoppes. They made a really big deal about these small, owner-operations shops, and the history behind them, (of which there is much). We have a Peanut Shoppe - it's been here in Springfield for longer than I can remember. This is the more recent location on E. Main, next to the water tower.

Met this friendly little Chipmunk at Andrew Hayden Park, I gave him a peanut which he took from me & it found this spot to eat it, allowing me to take a few shots of him!
