No, his name is not peanut, and neither he nor the peanuts are falling. It just happened to be a beautiful fall morning with some wonderful light and I decided to take advantage of his attraction to peanuts by preserving this moment on camera.

Trying to enjoy fall. Best done by not lingering on the fact that winter is just around the corner. Living in the moment springs to mind. This is one of those moments to be cherished and lived in for a long time after the moment has passed. My interpretation of living in the moment. A small potted Peanut Cactus (Echinopsis chamaecereus) that originally belonged to my Grandfather from the early 1970s. Each year at this time (late spring) the cactus will begin to flower. Endemic to Argentina and very hardy.

Oh there is a bad, bad panda lurking about. I'm not sure if it's my computer or an issue with Flickr. This is the first time for days that I've been able to access Flickr. I wish I had a picture of a panda to post :) Anyway, I'm on right now so I'll take it.

This is Peanut (Yellow-throated warbler) visiting his current favorite drinking spot. Located just outside the living room window, near the little swing feeder, it has been placed on a higher stand.

Since the higher stand placement, this bath has become more popular with many of my little feathered friends. Prior to the move, only Felix (Catbird) would use it.

I'm am a little sorry that Felix was displeased about the new height of the bath. He no longer uses it. However, he found a new favorite spot, Felix uses the stream in Boggy Creek now. Overall, I am pleased with the placement since so many more birds use it now. And they are just outside the window. I believe the new placement gives this bath it's highest and best use.

I appear to have found the only Robin with a peanut allergy.... Or maybe it doesn't like this brand of peanut butter.

I watched him poke each peanut into the grass saving them for later. Too smart.

This Stellar's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) had just watched one of his buddies hide a peanut in the snow, just visible on the left. This one went over to steal the nut, but got chased away before it could!

This little fellow decided he wanted to try out some peanut butter that I put on the post for birds. He must have liked it because he cleaned it all up!

I put peanuts in a separate feeder so the squirrels would leave the bird feeder alone. Well, I didn't realize that I have so many squirrels. They fight with the Juvenile Blue Jays for feeder priority.

Saw a few of these peanut or groundnut vendors while walking in the more urban areas of Bali. Didn't buy any though.

In the market in Winchester, I met Chantelle and Peanut, her cockapoo puppy. She said it had taken her ages to walk down the town as loads of people wanted to stop and say hello to Peanut.

The Bluejays and the Titmice who visit my garden love peanuts. They wait for me in the garden and watch as I put peanuts out in different places for them to find. It's like a game for them. Yet, the bluejays are very shy about the camera. I captured this moment from inside my kitchen window.
