Tomorrow is Saint Patrick's Day and we all need some green. This building, at the edge between the cities of Santa Monica (high on the terrace to the right) and Los Angeles (down in the canyon), always attracted my attention (well, green IS my favorite color). I used to pass by it, either in a car or by bike (but the bike path is actually closer to the beach than to the Pacific Coast Highway - which is the road visible in the foreground), so I never actually got a chance to take a picture. The other day I have been along PCH to take pictures of the Santa Monica cliffs, and I walked all the way from the pier to the canyon (about 4 miles, or 6.4 km round trip). What better chance to take a picture of this old glorious Patrick's Roadhouse?
