Tokoname Pottery Path ("Yakimono Sanpomichi") is a path which started as a natural tour of the various points of interest in Tokoname in about 1972.
Today was a stormy day here in Rio, and somehow that reminded me of a fill old photos with a dark mood that i had not embraced. Some of them were renegated, and some were not explored because of techinical stuf, especily noise. However i came to realise that noise should be avoided in most photography, but some should be grity, dark or even scary. So i'm reediting and reposting some shots that may not be perfect but are capable of affecting me somehow.
I live about 100 miles south of the middle of the "ring of fire" path. Greatest coverage was scheduled from about 7:33 to 7:38 PM, just before sunset in this area of southeast NM. I could not see the ring with my naked eye, but thought my camera might pick it up. Success! Some blurring because my auto focus had problems with the simultaneous sunlight / dimness of sunset, but I'm pleased that it worked at all. The sun slipped below the horizon still partially eclipsed.

This is a wood chip path that runs along Valley and Ardmore in Manhattan Beach to Hermosa. Its a great place to jog or walk the dog. - Great patterns made by the tree branches against the sky. This is the view near Vons looking South ~ I think I will now paint a view looking North!
On Monday, Jan. 27, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials at the Hoboken Terminal provided details of the planned PATH Hoboken station closure beginning at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, and lasting through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24.
The closure, which was announced in October 2024, will allow for critical repairs across track and switch infrastructure while also enabling extensive station renovation work. A wide array of travel alternatives will be available, including free shuttle buses, cross-honored ferry service, supplemental NJ TRANSIT 126 bus service to the Midtown Bus Terminal, and supplemental Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service. NJ TRANSIT and NY Waterway service at Hoboken Terminal will continue operating.
The speakers at the media briefing included:
- Clarelle DeGraffe, PATH director and general manager
- Donald Liloia, senior vice president, NY Waterway
- Joseph Lucci, managing partner, Charter Linkz (at podium)

Thames Path Walk, 28th May 2007: Greenwich Peninsula - it would have been much funnier if one of them had fallen in !
There are paths all over Fort Williams park, many are quite well travelled and have benches for resting and enjoying the view.
Fort Williams State Park is one of our favorite places to go in the fall when the weather is nice. It's right on the water and has the ruins of Fort Williams scattered over it, as well as Portland Headlight, a beautiful lighthouse. There are walking paths all through it, and you can get right out and climb around on the rocks when the tide is out. The weather this day was just about perfect and we spent a couple hours exploring and taking in the scenery.
Suffolk Coast Path. I realise that I have walked all of this from Southwold to Bawdsey with the exception of one short section.
