Early Saturday morning on the path along the Thames river, across from Harris park and downtown London Ontario.
A peaceful path in early winter through southern beech (Nothofagus) at Hawdon Valley, Arthur's Pass National Park, Canterbury high county, South Island New Zealand.
Path of Philosophy is a 1km long path besides a canal where cheery tress are planted along the sides. It was too bad that when we went, most of the cherry trees weren't fully blooming yet. But it was still quite amazing, as you can see here. It was quite a pleasant walk despite it was raining on and off and we were freezing cold!! At one point, we almost gave up and wanted to leave, but glad that we walked the entire path. Well worth the effort.
There are temples/shrines, and also cute little shops along the path. :)

Wege führen in die herbstliche Jahreszeit und da liegen schon mal bunte Blätter am Rand oder ein Sonnenstrahl erhellt.
The walk along the Monongahela river was scenic and enjoyable. As we approached the long abandoned furnaces their size dwarfed both of our expectations.
