A peaceful path in early winter through southern beech (Nothofagus) at Hawdon Valley, Arthur's Pass National Park, Canterbury high county, South Island New Zealand.
Laid Back has been giving out advice and opinions for over seven years. We started as a tour only operation and slowly grew into a specialist sales shop backed by the expertise of Edinburgh’s Bicycle Works. Add to this the fact that many of the bikes here have been ridden and reviewed by Velo Vision and Dave McCraw and you can be sure that your next purchase will be an informed one.

Path of Philosophy is a 1km long path besides a canal where cheery tress are planted along the sides. It was too bad that when we went, most of the cherry trees weren't fully blooming yet. But it was still quite amazing, as you can see here. It was quite a pleasant walk despite it was raining on and off and we were freezing cold!! At one point, we almost gave up and wanted to leave, but glad that we walked the entire path. Well worth the effort.
There are temples/shrines, and also cute little shops along the path. :)

Sun ray lightning the path in the autumnal season.
Wege führen in die herbstliche Jahreszeit und da liegen schon mal bunte Blätter am Rand oder ein Sonnenstrahl erhellt.

The walk along the Monongahela river was scenic and enjoyable. As we approached the long abandoned furnaces their size dwarfed both of our expectations.

While we are traveling for a tour,
we know the destination will be amazing.
But, I like to stop often and capture the photos,
photos of nature’s beauty,
photos of different paths,
talk to the strangers,
play with street animals,
capture the different faces.
Sometime I feel,
Its Okay , if I am late to the destination
Or
It’s Okay if I don’t reach the destination
at the expected time.
I just want to travel for living
those moments on the journey.
I want to travel more for the journey
than the destination
And that’s how our life is!

Taken the day after assurances were given by the council that this would be 'looked at and dealt with'.
This patch is below the Innocent Tunnel. Heading West to East it isn't very noticeable, being round a curve at the bottom of the slope from the tunnel. I'm sure a number of cyclists have happened across this rather suddenly.
You'll notice that pedestrians and cyclists alike have been making use of the verges to either side of the ice. Sorry, 'path'.

В силу нехватки места перекресток решен "по-датски". Перед пешеходным переходом велодорожка превращается в велосипедную полосу в уровне проезжей части. Между велодорожкой и проезжей частью нет зоны ожидания для пешеходов.
Due to the lack of space a 'Copenhagen approach' is used. Basicaly just before the intersection the bike path becomes a bike lane. There's no protective island on the corner of the intersection and no waiting area for pedestrians between the bike path and the road for cars.
