Explore #457 I took this a while back in Palm Cove on a wonderfully beautiful morning at dawn. I had only just gotten the D300 ( my first DSLR) and I was green....green ..green lol still am really... i didn't shoot in raw and this shot just wasn't happening. I have been wanting to learn more in photoshop so I really understand what I am doing and have asked questions and last night I used a tutorial to process this shot and i am way happier with the results. AND I learnt something lol which is cool ;)) So now I will be tutorialling lol more and more.
The next thing I want to learn it to blend two images into one so to speak, so if anyone has a good tutorial on that I would love to see it........ puleassssssseee :)
It is a dreary overcast and I think it will rain kind of Saturday here, but it is nice and cool and that is a lovely change. I think I will do some cooking today and whip up a storm...I may even take some shots of it if your are lucky lol ;))
Have a great weekend everyone no matter what your plans.... hugs xx Car

There are lots of paths to follow in the Arboretum or you can just wander about across large expanses of lawns to visit individual gardens, such as the English Garden, the Italian Garden and the Japanese Garden.
Win, lose or draw, may the times set you on the right path ahead.

I have been doing so many from my Urban set lately, I was feeling the need to get back to my roots. Taken several weeks ago along the Booth Falls Trail, these wonderful groves of Aspen Trees are found to the NW of Vail, Colorado.

After leaving the last cave we continued our walking around the Big and Little Collapse Dolines and we admire the landscapes of the Karst region :)
The Karst region, famous for its karst phenomena, is a unique corner of Slovenia. It was here that the first studies were conducted on how water shapes, hollows out and dissolves limestone rocks, and the word "karst" itself comes from the name of this region.

This was the first rain after weeks of dry, incredibly hot, weather. The sheer pleasure of getting out in it far outweighed the discomfort of getting wet. We had the woods almost to ourselves.

The theme for The Flickr Lounge is Paths. The hail storm that passed over lasted only a few minutes, just enough time for me to grab a shot before it all melted and provide me with an image for the Flickr Lounge. I converted it to b&w so the hail stones would show up better.

It was REALLY cold for a Spring morning and the pier had patches of ice, so I didn't stay too long. I like this spot, so will have to return when warmer.
